ibrahimovic is better than rooney though - I want my striker to stay up front and score goals consistently not charge around the pitch like a bull in a china shop
Why not. who have Netherlands got to trouble England? RVP okay but not a lot else. Portugal struggle time after time against really small nationals. CR will help them win the game on is own in them games but not against the very best. Italy. The last time we played them England won and we draw the time before.
I don't think he is. One that amazing Over head kick but what else? Rooney over him any day of the week for me.
just for you Hemmsy http://news.bbc.co.uk/sportacademy/hi/sa/football/features/newsid_3837000/3837567.stm
Which player has played for all the best clubs in world football - don't see much interest for that fat lad rooney
Of course any team would want Rooney but why would he move? Zlatans been bombed out by every team. It's okay when things for going for him but when hes got to work for the team hes just not interested. Him and Messi didn't get along and the show Donkey moved on.
I didnt see many clubs after him when he was threatening to leave man utd last time, only man city, whereas when ibrahimovic wants a move he has all of europes top clubs interested in him - rooney was class in about 2004, too many pies and brothels since then though
We haven't beaten Chile since 1953. We've played them at Wembley on three occasions (1989, 1998 and 2013) and failed to even score a goal, losing twice 2-0, drawing 0-0 in 89. We've never lost against Greece, won 4-0 the last time we met them. However, they have won a European Championship tournament, unlike us. We've played the USA three times in tournaments (1993 was deemed the 'US Cup') and never won. Lost in that 93 fixture, lost in the World Cup once, and drew with them at the last World Cup. We last met Belgium in a friendly two years ago and beat them 1-0. We also beat them in the World Cup of 1990. Drew with them in World Cup 54, 4-4. We've never lost to Colombia. However, we've only met once competitively, beating them at France 98. Our record against Switzerland is fantastic. Won three of our last four against them. Our record against Portugal is shocking. They eliminated us from Euro 2004 and World Cup 2006. Also beat us in Euro 2000. Actually, our last competitive victory over them was in World Cup 1966. The last time England won owt. The only time, in fact. Although we came very close in two Gazza inspired tournaments in 1990 and 1996, but were thwarted on penalties by the Germans. Bit of history there. Personally, I'd be well chuffed if we win a group game.
Wayne will not move abroad that is. Manchester City and Chelsea have been interested though haven't they. Apparently Real weren't interested with a few clubs in Europe the first time but he says he doesn't want to play out side of the UK. Personally I think it would be a good move for him to go to Madrid and be a big fish with 20 other big fish and a massive fish in CR. It would takre the lime light away from him and he could also hide behind CR
If he was to hide behind anything it would have to be an industrial fridge with the size of him, Ronaldo is a fine figure of an athlete whereas rooney looks to have been eating too many elephants feet from the cake shop
The pasts the past whitey really and it'll not win lose or draw us another game. We need to build on our strengths. I think thats the defence. I honestly struggle to see a better defence. Then build from there. In the last group stage quaili we were in the top 3 for best defence and best attack so we can't have done that badly in a tricky group.
If you were to combine the squads of England and the Netherlands and pick the best midfield it would be Sneijder, De Jong, Van der Vaart and Robben. Portugal are, like us, a mediocre team with one player who carries them. The difference is their outstanding player is arguably the best in the world, whereas ours is nowhere near. Italy - we beat them in a friendly when both teams played their reserves. Last time we played them in a competitive game we lost, not drew. And they battered us. You know what they say, you never see a poor bookie - http://www.oddschecker.com/football/world-cup/winner Plus that doesn't account for the fact that England will likely be underpriced by domestic bookmakers.
I saw Rooney last night. It frightens me that he's England's best player. Seriously. His passing is bloody awful. Was he meant to be playing in midfield? I don't want my striker chasing into the left back area thanks. We have a left back (Baines) for that. A very good one as it goes. Probably my favourite England player after Gerrard. There's a bloke that always shows up in tournaments, Stevie G. But he's no spring chicken and the heat in Brazil leaves me wondering if we'll even get out the group. As for Ibra, he's a much better striker than Rooney. Much better. I don't even rate Rooney in the top ten in the Premier League.
In a friendly? How's about in tournaments? They've got our number, totally. We've only beaten them once competitively, in a World Cup qualifier back in 1977.
Sorry but It wouldn't. Sneijder, bombed out by Inter because he didn't do anything. Van der vaart, okay at spurs but I would take a Carrick over him every day. De jong, don't need to say a lot. Robbe, class act but can sulk and go out of games. Gerrard, Wilshere, Townsend, Sterling and the back ups of Rodwell a player I really like Carrick, top player Oxlade-Chamberlain Henderson Barkley Oxlade-Chamberlain We've got plenty in midfield and the great thing is the ages of some of those. In a few years Rodwell Wilshere Walcott Barkley Townsend or Sterling and theres more coming through
Rooney needs to play games. We now that. Get him after 10 games and we'll be back. Before he got injured he was amazing. Watching a Manchester united game on sky novemberish time and My Grandad said to me about 10 times in a game did you see that. He was saying did you see that because of some of the things he was doing.
"In a few years" blah blah blah. http://hereisthecity.com/en-gb/2013...team-mail-online-predicted-in-2007-where-are/
