Re: My daughter is asthmatic and couldn't breathe

I won't be going to any matches whilst this is going on, I don't want to be caught up in a fight, or hit by a smoke cannister/flare, whatever people want to call it.

In this instance it was though, they all congregated near each other so it didn't affect anyone that didn't want to be there.

Apart from the people above who have said it affected them or those posting pictures on twitter saying it affected them, or the innocent children who were near it who it affected

Seriously pal, I was sat pretty close to the goings on and if that smoke makes you have an asthma attack I don't know how they cope walking down the streets when walking behind a smoker or near a car pumping smoke out. Folk looking for an excuse to have a go in my opinion, typical of modern Britain.

Go and get someone to rev your car whilst in a garage and stick your head behind the exhaust then let us know how you got on

On this occasion maybe - but just a quick internet search shows examples of injuries caused by pyrotechnics at football matches - some on kids as young as 8 years old. You can't let it off just because it just happened to be all numpties together this time round - if people think it's fine to be throwing smoke grenades around who's to say that next time they won't just randomly lob it at someone who doesn't deserve it?

The lads in question bought 29 smoke bombs they let off less than 50% of them. Proud

There were at least eight that I counted. If the lads over in that corner are the same lads in the corner of the Ponty end that have been bigged up all week, then my sympathy has gone. And let's be reight, these smoke canisters weren't just ignited, some of them were thrown with force at the opposition fans.

Standing up, singing and shouting all game, yes please, plenty of that, but not what happened today. **** 'em.

On the plus side, the 'flares mules' will have plenty of brass for the weekend.

I'm not for or against. But so called smoke bombs will have gone off in just about every ground today, most weeks you see them in the away end at Oakwell.

Yes there not needed, but to kick off and call them not fans is over the top.

It's a fad for away supporters these days, not just bfc but nearly every club in the land.

Good to see you care about fellow BFC fans that do suffer from our pond life minority.

Don't care we could lose potentially £17,500 a year from removing these 50 or so pond life forever from the club. Thick ****s.

You're missing the point, if I'm walking near a smoker I move past him or away from him so I'm not breathing it in, massive difference to a football match where you're in a designated seat & can't do anything about the fumes.
