Wonder if a lot of it is the nature of work these days? I've always just worked Monday to Friday but when I think about it, a lot of the lads I used to go with who have got out of the habit of going often have to work at the weekend now through either working shifts or being on call.

This has been done to death.

The fact is, that the majority of the folk of Barnsley are totally indifferent to the club.

It's a bit late now. Anything like this needed to be arranged a while back. Plenty of people will of already bought tickets

Come up with a new suggestion then, one that we haven't tried and failed with previously.

Reducing ticket prices is going to keep us up.

Wow. Wish it was as simple as that.

If you opened the gates for free or a quid people are just fed up of seeing relegation battles.

It's worked for Bradford and Huddersfield restructuring their season ticket prices,a few years ago all our attendances were similar but now they get better gates and Bradford have been in the bottom league for a few years but with gates well over 12000,ours are just bumped up with away support

    No point because......

    1) We'd still probably only get about 13,000.
    2) Lindleys would struggle with the extra fans even more than usual.
    3) Our record in matches we reduce prices in is poor.
    4) People will have already bought a ticket for the game.

Most fans see it as a quick in quick out 90min game. Do clubs like barnsley need to look at the bigger picture to entice people in. More entertainment etc bands local talent etc someone must have some marketing ideas it won't work every week but worth a try

Plenty are happy to get out of a nice warm pub/car as late as possible for games so they aren't out in the cold more than they have to be.

Lindleys literally could not run a piss up in a brewery. Even a brewery that only operates 23 days a year.

Quite a few moan on it dunt work but didn`t we once in recent years put 4,000 onto the gate with a price reduction. Plus if we dint try these things once in a while the club would be moaned at by some of the very same folk.
