I particularly like how fraud and embezzlement doesn't necessarily mean passing the fit and proper test is 'a foregone conclusion'. Unbelievable

    not sure on the YEP...but

the other seems more reputable, I like you have no love of Leeds Utd. My jury is still out as to whether I would like to see them go bust. Would much rather see the Wendies go under.

You'd think they'd have learnt their lesson by now, must be the third or fourth time in the space of 15 years that they've had serious financial problems.

Why is it clubs that have had a short period of success in the past think they can spend well beyond their means?

    Actually

I do not believe I said I wanted them to go under, but if one of those two had to go, for whatever reason, then it would be Wednesday for me.

That's why I want them to go under, they never learn.

Apparently there's loads of businesses large and small around the Leeds area who are owed money. If you've not got it, don't spend it.

I don't like the Daily Mail, or any tabloids come to that, but the first line in that report is a corker:

"Leeds United Bahraini bank owners GFH face a race against time to get Football League approval to sell to Italian fraudster Massimo Cellino"

Not just "Massimo Cellino", not even "Massimo Cellino who has been convicted of fraud in Italy", but "Italian fraudster Massimo Cellino" as though that's his full title and to how he should always be referred in future. As a way of getting your point across, it's a belter. It's very, very clever. After that opening, the rest of the article is superfluous. The point has been made in the first line, the reader is already convinced and nothing that comes after, either in support or opposition, will change anyone's mind because he is, was and will always be Italian fraudster Massimo Cellino.

Where does Financial Fair Play come into any of this?

I'd love to see some clubs under. Sheffield United, Leeds United and Liverpool would be top of my list.

Re: not sure on the YEP...but

Thinking of the fans of any club experiencing their club go out of business isn't something that I want. Of course clubs have idiot deluded fans but they also have a lot of good normal people who would be heartbroken.

Having said that clubs like Leeds can't continue to financially mismanage without penalty. In the future I'd like a clear and transparent model of ownership for Clubs in the pyramid and financial fair play to actually mean something. The fit and proper persons rest should be meaningful and vigourous not the joke it currently is.

Don't wish for that. It comes as a package with the hair, personality, laziness and general nobbyness and all that's completely ******.

The only thing worth wishing for is chocolate. As chocolate is so readily available, your wishes always come true.
