Any other player in our team and that ball goes back to the fullback, and the move starts all over again. With paddy the ball always goes forward. He has got to play.

Absolute lunacy not to be starting him. The one gripe I have got with Wilson.

and in that clip he's contributed more than Brek Shea has in his full time here.

I was just going to post that myself. Sod this "He's not the right type of player for our current situation" crap. If we're going down let's go down fighting!

how anyone can watch that clip, or any on the (awesome) video Whitey made and not love watching Paddy is just beyond me. Then there was a 'who's better? Shea or McCourt?' thread, and there was a worrying amount of people who'd prefer Shea but I noticed none could list reasons why. They just don't want Paddy because he's 'lazy'.

He also made an absolutely outstanding tackle when Donny caught us on the break for those who didn't go.

Thing is though when he was starting, he was doing this three or four times a game and people were moaning about his work rate and defensive contribution.

You can't have your cake and eat it.

hopefully that fulfils Danny's 'wingers must run back and tackle too' criteria which Shea has clearly been thriving in.

Would love to see him and Jennings on the wings. We'd actually look a threat...

Agree. It would be fantastic to see Paddy and Jennings on the wings in our next home game.

I said Shea because although I was taken up by Paddy orginally, I soon got fed up of seeing him lose the ball trying to tackle one player too many. I think having a break will have done him good, quite possibly all those 'showboating' videos had gone to his head. I think it's time to bring Paddy back in.

totally agree, wasn't there yesterday, but it sounded like he was tracking back & tackling, so maybe danny has seen what he is looking for

for me he should be given his chance

not nit-picking, but you've still not said why Shea ;)? just why not Paddy.

That was my reason for Shea, because I didn't want Paddy, and the question was Shea or Paddy. Therefore, by process of elimination, I had to go for Shea.

Paddy was all over the field when he came on, he looked stronger than ever. First thing I said when he came on was he looks to be tracking back more. Has to start at Wigan, we have to take that game by the throat now! They're all must win games regardless of the opposition.
