What's your most memorable/entertaining game you've attended as a neutral?

    Also, the most random?

Eintracht Franfurt v Bayern Munich, great match, cheap tickets and the best atmosphere I've ever heard at a football match.

I always assume the idea of attending a game as a neutral is better than the actual experience. Therefore I've never done it.

Motherwell 6-6 Hibernian is definitely top of my list, especially as Hibs were 6-2 up and Motherwell even missed a penalty before a last minute screamer brought it level at 6-6.

I took my old man to Manchester United 6-0 Newcastle United for his 50th, Giggs, Rooney, Ronaldo & Tevez were unplayable that night.

I was going to say Hull City v York City in the old fourth division back in the mid 80's ('84 I think) but compared to some of the games mentioned on here it sort of pales into insignificance.

Been to loads whilst trying to do the 92 league clubs when I was a young lad. One Good Friday I watched Preston v Sheffield Wednesday (KO 11:00) (Prendergast broke his leg, Burnley v Birmingham k.o 3:00 and Leeds ko 7:30 all on the same day.

Saw Torquay v Barnet whilst on holiday in Torquay.

Biggest game I saw was St Etienne v Bayern Munich in European Cup Final at Hampden Park.

In the context of this post I'm assuming 'random' is a euphemism for '****'. :D

In the mid- late 80s, it seemed that every time I saw Chelsea in action, there were goals galore. Aside from Barnsley beating them 4-0, and losing 5-3 at Stamford Bridge. I also saw a 3-3 draw between Wednesday and Chelsea in the Cup ( or was it 4-4?), and also a 3-3 draw between Coventry and Chelsea - remember being in the Chelsea end when Pat Nevin scored a screaming volley late on.

Most random - either Coventry v Rochdale in the league cup, or the Barbados Cup Final.

Napoli 8 Pescara 2, 1988. Maradona 2, Careca 2 and Carnevale hat-trick for Napoli. Random and memorable.
