We were really dire in the first half, very poor defending down the same flank twice, like feeding strawberries to a donkey 2 nil game over night night. 2nd half Wigan had the slippers and pipes out and were just counting the clock down, they stopped playing and looked like they were saving their energy and still we could not trouble them. On the rare occasion we did threaten we must have thought the rugby posts were still up because the efforts were the high and wide. Wilson got his tactics and team choice wrong tonight, McLaughlin was clearly not fit, and O Brien bless him, tried his best but he is not championship standard and with a combination of an unfit defender and a bloke in front of him who would struggle in Wombwell Mains team they were cannon fodder for Bosajour and Mclean. Mrs Merton looks more of a full back than Katanga. We are 2 nil down Danny and you pussy foot around with 4 defenders at the back, might as well lose 7 nil and have a go, we would not score if we were playing till midnight, he should have gone to 3 at the back and been more attack minded and just gone for it, we were 2 nild down so we had nothing to lose. A word of note for the fans who went tonight, around 800 - 900 on a cold Tuesday night to watch that, the players didn't deserve support as good as they got tonight, fantastic backing. Its Millwall or bust now Danny, after watching that we are in the last chance saloon at Oakwell on Saturday. To all you supporters who did not travel tonight, don't believe the 'hype' that Danny was trying to put across in his interview as I feel he is deflecting the attention away from his bad tactics and bad team choice....................., we were dog sh*t all night long........simple as
Re: Just Heard Wilson aftermatch interview - Was he at a different game to me tonight Radio dee darr and Derick Parker had Jimbo and Jennings as our stand-out players. Would just add that they echoed the rest of your post.
Re: Just Heard Wilson aftermatch interview - Was he at a different game to me tonight Did he mean Jimbo as Wigans stand out player
O Brien and McLoughlin got hammered by Bosajour and Maclean all first half Rossler like other managers have done this season can see O Briens flank is our weak link and go for that every time. Jennings was ok and is looking fitter every week, but it says something that the best player for our team was a short cameo from Macourt. Wilsons interview is polishing a turd, we were awful all night long, he got his tactics and team choices wrong, Wigan will not have had or will have an easier game all season long. After 2 nil they put their feet up and had a cup of tea. Hope this is a flash in the pan, but Millwall is now a must win game, and hopefully the players will not act like they were all p*ssed up and actually have a go at them.
Re: O Brien and McLoughlin got hammered by Bosajour and Maclean all first half Pretty much the match I watched.
Just heard the interview with Danny where the dee dar presenter singled out JOB for his non-stop effort. I would provide non-stop effort for Barnsley FC given the chance. Trouble is, I'm not good enough to play for us and neither is Jim, as likeable as he is. It is criminal that Paddy didn't come on until the 60th minute, he is light years beyond owt else that we've got, apart from Cwyka perhaps, who cant get a kick. I love Danny but he's making some chuffing odd decisions and his talking up of tonights performance is nowt more than propaganda as we were utter cack. Sent from my GT-N7105 using Tapatalk
Re: Just Heard Wilson aftermatch interview - Was he at a different game to me tonight I was there tonight and I would only give pass marks to Frimpong, Ramage, McCourt and Jennings. The rest looked like kids playing well out of their depth.
Re: Just Heard Wilson aftermatch interview - Was he at a different game to me tonight I fully endorse that, apart from Jennings the lot want outing I got back late and passed the buses about 5 altogether, and we deserve better than that Too much kidology and not enough guts and determination
