Rather he played for the country of his birth and get some English lads playing for England.

Is he that cheating little **** who plays for Man U??

No ta. If you reject your own country for personal glory, then you're not worth having. Unless your name is Ryan Giggs.

Shows how bad we are when we're relying on a bairn in a mid table Premier League side who can't be picked for another 3/4 years.

Praise for Spain, France, Germany and Scotland. All in one sentence. Think i've just done a wee.

Yes, Germany have 'converted' many a Pole. But they're neighbours, and most of those players have German relations.

Big difference between that, and us waiting for 3/4 years to pick a lad with no English blood. A lad yet to do owt.

It's not praise but they do.

Diego costa's played for Brazil but almost certainly will lead the line for Spain in Brazil 15 month after making his international debut

This is an exceptional case though isn't it.

He's not had it easy and maybe he feels more English than anything.

He came to England at 16.

He's not English though. Neither of his parents are English so he can live to 1,000 years old and spend the rest of his days only living in England and he'd still not be English. Even if Messi and Ronaldo could play for England i'd not want them. It's a matter of principle. Just because you spend X amount of years in a foreign country doesn't make that your nationality all of a sudden.

I'm staggered at Phil's lack of awareness on this subject. He's constantly trumpeting the efforts of our England team, they're all amazing he tells us, and the youth levels are even better.

Yet he wants Januzaj to represent us?

I've got awareness on it and yes do talk about youth football but I can see this is slightly different.

I think that other country's abuse it. Spain germany and Portugal are some of the worst, not if the worst in football at it.

Germany have a number of players.
Portugal will have pepe and others
Spain Diego Costa the worst if the lot

Phil, the kid has looked decent in flashes, in half of a season, and you're suggesting we pick him in 3/4 years time when he's eligible. In doing so, you're showing a distinct lack of faith in our own young English players. The same lads you constantly overrate. You need to make up your mind.

However, well done on diverting the topic into different territory, where you can slate the successful nations for doing it.

As I say, he's no English blood.

Hargreaves wasn't full English was he? But he qualified through relation. That I have no problem with. But selecting some random foreigner because he's been here 5 years doesn't sit well with me, and says a lot about the modern game and our position within it. Because Januzaj won't be the last to be selected, he'll probably not be the first in fact. There are plenty of foreign kids in the academies of Prem clubs who will also qualify for England.

    I can't wait...

Surely you are hugely against this as you have previously stated MANY times how disgusting it is that German team contains 'none Germans'

I think Phil's thinking with his penis on this one. We've all done it, let's be fair.
