Anybody see Matthew Murray's tweet this morning?

Suggesting that as far as he's aware, Danny's contract is until the end of the season.

That's what I thought anyway. Followed by a 12 month roller. The more things change the more they stay the same.

 

So, are we getting shut of him then if we go down? Because if that isn't the plan, why didn't they give him a longer deal?

Not a chance, otherwise he would have replaced Flitcroft. I wouldn't have been happy with that but would have supported it at the time, if Wilson is released at the end of the season and is replaced with Mellon then it would show our board upto be idiots

 

Then why retain Mellon?

 

Im hoping that was just a short term appointment as he knew the players, then let Wilson build his own backroom staff in the summer as well as his players he wants to retain. Maybe that's just wishful thinking on my part though.

 

I believe he'll be our manager whether we're in this or the alehouse division. Danny I mean.

I asked for thoughts on the contract, not your thoughts on Matthew.

I find it saddening that people online choose to fire abuse at others (people they don't know, either). I don't know what it is that Matthew or I have done to you, and know that I personally have never said a word in anger towards you. So I find it sad that you feel the need to engage in such behaviour.

However, your comment that I've quoted below amuses me greatly, and again, sums you up I feel.
