The ref disagreed. So did Gary Neville. And me. And millions of others. Not to mention the Laws of the Game.
From the BBC - "Toni Kroos's display in midfield is worth a look. He attempted 152 passes tonight, 127 of which were in Arsenal's half, and he completed 96.7% of them. Not too shabby. Arsenal's most prolific passer was Jack Wilshere, who was successful with 66.7% of his 30 passes." And "Mathieu Flamini and Jack Wilshere will be seeing Bayern passes in their sleep tonight." Pretty much tells me all I need to know about that game.
Jack Wilshere feels his ankle more times than he touches the ball - Ross Barkley twice the player he is!
Jamie was only saying what you were thinking hemsrim. Wilshere is massively over rated. He'll probably be injured by the summer anyway. I do like the Ox though.
First and most important rule of football - If you have possession of the ball, the other team can't score. It's the Barca way. Pep made them the best team in Europe and now he has made Bayern the best. Wilshere called them the best on the sky intro to tonight's game. He looks okay in the premiership, because it's a very weak league.
Wilshere = rich man's TK, one-dimensional, one-footed and one-paced, embarrassingly so at the level Arsenal play.
