jesus christ knew this would happen, yes he played well today, scored a nice goal But that doesn't make him a good player.
Weren`t on his own on both the occasions mentioned. Neither were the final ball/tackle that lead to the goals either. He started one shambles and was apart of the other.
He is a good player but an inconsistent player like most in our squad but is there any need for these kind of threads praising or berating week in and week out. One thing reading this board he never has any average games cos folks have to go to extremes.
Not really because apiary from the goal he did f*ck all first half. He did improve second half BUT he gets knocked off the ball too easily and hardly puts a good challenge in, runs about without being useful and should have scored after OGradys sh*t shot at an open goal. Having said all that Wilson had to take responsibility for the way he sets the team up and gets them to play. Im sick and tired of teams coming here, or even when we play away, of our players (yes ALL of them) getying ou thougyt and out challenged for the fekin ball. Its something that we have always done. Why? ??? And MOM today any one of these three; jennings, crainie or ramage ...
He once lost me a lot of money after missing a penalty against Rangers, I've never forgiven him for this.
Jimbob as far as I can see is a good wholehearted player who wears his heart on his sleeve and will shine against limited opposition. He played ok today though I thought Cranie was the best player on the pitch by some way. He has 1 good game in every 5 to 7 unfortunately the good outweigh the bad which is a shame cos he's a great lad. Poor mans Chris Shuker cruel but accurate.
''he played ok today'' , scored the winning goal and yet he is described as poor mans chris shuker !!!!!!! dont know why they bother
I saw eddie loyden score winning goals too keep on knocking Jim , its how barnsley folk seem to do things with our players , it fits in well after a win.
In fact I saw Ian Chandler score winning goals for us once didn't suddenly transform him into Trevor Aylott did it. All this he's great if he scores and ***** if he doesn't you need to take a considered view of his overall contribution.
It's not criticising Jim to say he's a great wholehearted player who will always give his all but more often than not is not quite good enough for the level we are currently playing at. I've seen, I believe, every game he's ever played for us and he is consistently inconsistent able to shine against poorer teams gets lost against the better ones. This whole build them up one week knock them down the next is a sad indictment of the Sky Tv generation of supporter.
