Sorry just read that post. didn't really spend too much time on the site last night and it surprised me.
Hemmsy, you are entitled to an opinion, but just because your opinion differs to someone else, doesnt make you right. Taking a striker off and bringing Shea on (on right hand side) weakened our team. Thats not from the Dark Ages, thats just plain and simple football sense.
Your opinion Does not mean you are right Why did it 'weaken' the team ? I seem to remember we went on to win.
If you read the post properly i did state that Dawson played the best he could. That is credit in my book. As for Wilson i'm afraid the only credit he gets from me is the fact that he disposed of some of the dross from the previous regime and recruited as best he could with what resources we have available. As for his tactics, well thats a different matter. A win was the main objective yesterday and that is what we achieved.Play the next 3 games with the same performance as yesterday and we will be a step closer to the drop. Not being negative like, I will leave that to Wilson, Just being realistic after witnessing the last 5 games apart from Wigan away.
My opinion says we were weaker when Shea came on. Be interesting if you did a straw poll of fans at match yesterday.......id say most would agree with this. Then again, i may be wrong........
Yeah.....happy that we won, very happy. The Charlton late winner did deflate me a bit, but at the end of the day, its down to us to do the business.......and we did it yesterday.
Some haven't a clue, 5 mean defensive ...... As you say we looked a lot better with 5 in the middle and the last time we won we also played 5 in there. 5 in the middle for me would allow you to get mellis forward, another creative player in the middle (Digby or Woods) and let the wingers attack there full backs. O'grady will get more chances and we will be able to defend better and still have a good chance or getting the required goals.
Your not wrong Pasta. Shea offers nothing and should be shipped back to Stoke .McCourt cannot get game time due to Wilson's dour negativity. I was hoping for Paddy's inclusion yesterday but its becoming obvious Wilson prefers not to include him.
We didn't conceded a goal, they didn't look like scoring. Your view doesn't tally with what happened.
We were ******* awful yesterday, and beat a proper pub side. Thankful for 3 points like but need to improve massively to escape relegation. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

It tallies in my mind......and reading fellow posters, looks like many agree with me. End of day, we got 3 points when we played average. We've played better than that and lost !!!!
442 with Mellis in the centre was not negative. But it didn't work because Mellis wasn't winning enough ball and Frimpong was struggling on his own. Dawson on as sub looked negative but we were a far better team for him coming on.
People are right to suggest we're going to struggle if we put in displays like we did yesterday. But that was yesterdays display. It was an absolute must win game, and Danny and Micky set us up to remain solid throughout, and not take so many risks. Other than one fantastic Luke Steele save, Millwall's attacking threat was snuffed out with ease. And I can think of at least three clear chances that we had to add to our goal tally. It was scrappy. It was rarely pretty. But we were effective, and got a massive three points. Danny's not going to set them up like that every week. Horses for courses. He's certainly turned our home form around. We don't look like getting beat. And away from home, we've only been beaten by a very good Wigan side who turned Brighton over yesterday with a much changed XI. I don't include the Wednesday game as a defeat. In points terms we lost, yes. But we were as solid as it gets, a man light for 60 minutes. We're a tougher nut to crack. Something that's been acknowledged by each opposing manager. And I honestly think we'll be safe a few games before the 46th of the season. Seriously. I can see us going on a run now. Huddersfield are dreadful in defence, and I believe we'll turn them over next weekend, and a lot more of you will be changing your minds regarding us staying up. With games to spare. Optimism. Costs nowt.
