He's played four games, Phil. Even if he'd scored four goals and played like Yaya Toure, he shouldn't make anybody's XI.

Etuhu, Arismendi even, Perkins, Colace, Hassell have all done more in that position. So far.

Fiona's reight. It's the first time he's played well and tha milking it. And in a years time when we sell him for a pretty penny you'll be telling everybody that you were right all along, only you rated him, we are thick, etc etc.

    Book. Read. Like. You. A.

His talent isn't in question but his right to be on a 'best 11' list after a few games is in question.

So going on this logic our greatest ever midfield 4 should be

Stuart Ripley Kevin Richardson Jan Molby Ian Woan

He was great on Saturday Hemsy, no question about it. However, against Wednesday he really let us down, at Donny he did OK in spells, but nothing brilliant, he was making damn sure he didn't get sent off, and I didn't see him at Wigan, but no one who came back from that match was telling us how well Frimpong played.

So, he's had one good game. We don't yet know if that game was indicative of how he will play in future or if the other games were more representative. You can't put a player in our best team for the last 7 years on the back of one game. Well, you can, you did, and you can do what you like, but you can't do it and then claim it's a sensible, well though out selection.

At Hillsborough Jay I don't think he did a lot wrong.
In the time he played I thought he did well. The Ref cost him in that game.
At Doncaster he did okay as you say but the formation killed it for him, not the players fault. He played with Mellis in the first half and okay they didn't have the ball a massive amount they didn't really test them. Him and a Dawson, Digby or Woods will be fine with Mellis in a AM role.

    ...................... Muller .....................

    Stones ... Foster ... Cranie ... Shotton

    .................... Hassell .......................

    ........ Butterfield ... Howard ..............

Hammill or McCourt ............. Vaz Te

    ................... O'Grady ......................

Muller before the injury, if it's post cruciate then Steele. Shotton's right sided but we haven't had a left sided defender worth the name imho.

Shackell was a good player, but he was a nob head and unsettled the rest of the team. I didn't rate Trippier as much as everyone else while he was here, but he's gone on to be a good player. The best player we've probably had was Jay Rodriguez, but he did next to nowt here. I liked Darren Moore, but his best days were behind him when he came. He was still OK, but if we'd had him a few years earlier he'd definitely be in the team.

I think a few we've got now have the potential to get in that team once we've seen more of them. Hunt, McLaughlin, Ramage (now he's settled down), Jennings and Frimpong could all become very good players for us.

He got plenty wrong. He was warned before his first booking. He got booked, and then thought it was a good ides to go through the back of their player.
He let his team down, and ultimately it cost us the game. He's not a messiah just because you want him to be. He has to prove himself.

Bit giddy selecting Jennings as he's only laiked a handful of games, but I'm really excited by the prospect of him. Really think he'll be our star player eventually, whether thats in the championship or league 1.

Boro lads from work were on abart you today said them and the folks they go to games with (who read that forum you post on) can't believe you won't admit Butterfield is the worst creative midfielder they've had in years

Of Butterfield they said he looks completely out of his depth and that he needs 2 seconds too long on the ball for anyone who they think will make it in this division

You said before you were interested in what they were saying before like not a dig
