Well how far back do you wanna go in history , The Romans, The Vikings its always somebody elses fault, just a minute whilst i self flagulate im ashamed of what weve done whip whip. Im Yorkshire,Im English go on then i might be British but im not European im proud of my country you cant change the past,so dont try and make up for other peoples mistakes.
No we were dealing with the problem in Ireland in this little spat - so no mention of Romans , Vikings etc - my original point was that Muslims are perceived in a pretty similar way to the Irish in the 70's and 80's - they were all terrorists. There were atrocities on both sides of this conflict - I was trying to balance the argument up with the poster at the time.
I think we should FEK you off back to school to learn the English language. There's always a remarkable correlation between those that cannot grasp the language of the country they profess to love and the kinds of opinions expressed by Moose Tyke, illustrated perfectly by this fine specimen... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aYd9qbRz2fc Educate yourself, and maybe you'll be able to improve our country.
Because that is called making people stateless which is against international law, but don't worry because it seems Teresa May wants to do it. Many we should try something rather radical, if people are terrorists maybe we can arrest them and put them on trial!
Let me say that I do not approve of people burning poppies. That kind of protest I find in very bad taste. My great grandad was wounded at the battle of the Somme in 1916 fighting for this country, my grandad fought at El Alamein & my other grandad was working down the pit in the second world war. There is a big difference between protest & inciting violence. Once you stick people in prison for protest you lose any kind of moral high ground. Putin has crossed that line in Russia & it has created an outcry around the world, as well as breaching the human rights of gay people & ethnic minorities. I'm proud of our country & the way we fought against fascists in Europe in the 30's/40's. I'm going to stand up to them now, not with violence, but to tell them their views are as abhorrent now as they were then. Everyone has a right to put their views on here as far as I'm concerned. i don't want people censored, unless they are trying to recruit for the EDL or the like. I will however tell them what I think. I have lived in a mainly asian area (at least when students aren't here) in Hyde Park / Headingley for nearly 25 years. i've never had a problem with any muslim, sikh or any other creed in a all that time.
