Rotherham when we got promoted not sure if it was from the 3rd or 4th. Stoke in the cup when they had the pink panthers brilliant night game cracking atmosphere.

Absolutely loads in the 80s as Oakwell was proper packed at times. For a more recent one, Hull at end of last season wasn't bad, but they are few and far between these days.

From what I remember the Bradford wasn't that great of an atmosphere, think we all had our fingers in our mouth chewing down our nails!

Oxford, 96-97, about 4 or 5 thousand of us. We couldn't see for the fog, let alone sing.

Absolutely, the atmosphere in the late 70s and early 80s was special (Clarke/Hunter/Collins eras). 96/7 wasn't bad either, although I remember the 3-2 win against Portsmouth being fairly quiet. Also worth a mention was the Ipswich game just before the FA Cup semi-final (2008) when the Ponty (all standing up) sang "Red Army" for what felt like 45 minutes.

From the start of the 1978/79 season when Allan Clarke took over as player/manager to the end of the 1981/82 season, the atmosphere & optimism down at Oakwell was fantastic. Losing the spine of that great team (Evans, McHale & Aylott) and not replacing them properly in the Summer of 1982 saw a general downturn. Obviously certain matches generated an excellent atmosphere, but it just wasn't the same standard as it had been or as often. Only the Premier League season matched it.
Funnily enough, some of those old Fourth Division matches in the 1970's with relatively small attendances could generate quite heated atmospheres.
