Not doing a lot this season is he.

Missing chances and moaning players are in his space ffs. Get 15/18 million for him and add it to the 200 plus mill they''ll spend in the summer

He's Man U's best player and still the best striker in the league after Suarez and Aguero currently. Back to Arsenal I reckon, or Italy. This will unsettle Rooney again too.

Maybe RVP is part of the problem. Look how Arsenal have improved since his departure!!

Not on the goal scoring front they haven't. Arsenal only relatively doing well, because of the inconsistency of other clubs and the disappearance of United as serious contenders. If Arsenal had RVP now, they would have a serious lead on the title.

Rafael & Carrick are better than RVP? It's a bit early to be drunk.

We'll have to agree to differ there, Hemsie. Rooney is the reason Man U are having such an awful season. It is not a good Man U team but their form should be better. There is a disharmony and lack of team spirit that I have never seen in a United side and that is all down to Rooney's selfish greed. Vidic and Nani will also go and the others will become more pissed off that Rooney is seen to be worth so much more than them and not contributing very much. If United want to solve their problems, they should get rid of Wayne.

Rooney is in their top three best players with Mata and RVP. Other than them three they have no more world class players, which is why they are struggling. Sir Alex knew what was happening and left at the right time. If he had stayed they wouldn't be doing as bad but they would still be well off the pace for the title. In the summer they need to look to trying to get players like Cavani, Falcao etc.

Ferguson dint buy players because he knew he was leaving and didn't want lumber new manager with players he might not want, the problem is in the summer they tried to sign players but none of them wanted to play for a bloke who's never won anything

Will those type of players want to go to utd? Under Moyes? With senior players wanting out? They will struggle to spend £200m, if they can find anywhere near that type of money to spend, which I highly doubt.

If those three players you mention really are their best players, then why should they target another 2 strikers? Shouldn't they aim for some proper defenders and midfielders?

But would they? Style of play changes. RVP hogs all the chances! Don't get me wrong he's a great player but does having RVP in the team restrict the other members of the team. Just a thought!

United debts are bigger than Real Madrid's. The difference is - the banks aren't so easy going as they are for Real and the Glaziers are going to have think about the the 500 million they borrowed to buy the club, effectively mortgaging it. This bond idea looks a non-starter as no-one wants to deal with the the Glaziers and while Man U is still an enormously profitable business, I can't see them finding the kind of transfer budget to effectively challenge City and Chelsea while the outstanding debts are being called in.

The gamble on finding a crop of youngsters as they did 20 years ago has failed and in RVP's case it looks like United's charm is on the wane too, so that's them buggered on nicking a player from richer rivals on personality rather than cash. Rooney's pay rise is appearing more and more mental, who cares about his replacement transfer value? Falcao and the like aren't going to give a toss about that when they see the pay slips. They're a mess.

Possibly, but RVP is the proven experienced goalscorer. I certainly wouldn't be cramping his style if he were my team mate. Arsenal are desperately lacking a striker and it shows. The midfield operates fine, but there is no-one finding the space and making the runs like RVP does so successfully.

Sinking ship or wanting a payrise. If Rooney is on £300k per week then he must think he is worth a similar amount...
