Except for the abuse aimed at the few players who dared to acknowledge the fans?

Never understood the need to hurl abuse at someone simply because you don't feel they performed on the pitch. I'm not a happy clapper by any means but all abusing players will do is alienate them and make them less likely to perform/stick around - case in point being Mr. I Never Enjoyed A Minute At Barnsley Wiseman.

I agree, I have seen disgraceful behaviour from Barnsley fans away, not today, not in the ground anyway.

Football is a passionate game, footballers often do things that they wouldn't normally do, even managers.....Alan Pardew anyone? Fans are the same, your not off for a day shopping or to watch a film or catch up on the last series of Breaking Bad, your off to watch a team which represent your hopes and fears, your town, for which you have sacrificed money, time, relations, feelings for. If someone wants to tell the players to F-off after watching them roll over and get their tummy's tickled when we are in a do-or-die situation, who are we to judge them? You may live a dispasionate life, whereby you can put everything immediately into perspective, but others don't. Please don't tell me that the players ego's are soooo precious that they can no longer stand for any criticism from the fans?

I can never understand how anyone can't get carried away to some extent when watching football.
