as I see it it's 5 teams in the mix. Yeovil are doomed, charlton, Millwall, Donny, Blackpool will fill other 2 relegation spots. Yes we got licked yesterday and we awful. So did Donny and Charlton! We recently beat Millwall and Blackpool. Two very poor sides who are in poor form. Danny and the boys messed up big style yesterday but... 1. It's not over! 2. we are not adrift. 3. Just 3pts gets us out of relegation places. 4. We have a game in hand on 3 of the teams in the mix. Ok, some will say they can't see us picking up any more points, and we have tough fixtures again top of the table side. So what! Been there done that. Keep the faith COYR
Before the pedantic posters just in... That should read 5 other teams in the relegation mix. 6 in total.
While I agree with the overall sentiment I can't see any evidence for the assertion that "Yeovil are doomed" considering they're above us in the table and have yet to play us at home. That part seems to be wishful thinking. That's going to be a huge game for us at the end of the month but if we can get something from that (and we really need to set out to try to win that match) then I'd like to believe we can pull a rabbit out of the hat yet again. We've got more experience than pretty much anyone else at avoiding the drop!
Yeovils 3 red cards in one game will hit em hard We need some backj to back wins but its getting tougher for us
I haven't given up hope yet but... 1: Yeovil are statistically a better team than us right now so if they are doomed then we must be too. 2: We seem incapable of putting any sort of run together. 3: Other teams around us will probably win a few games before the end of the season so unless we suddenly find some form and put a run together we're down. 4: The most important and most painful point - we are ****.
I don't see Yeovil as doomed, unfortunately I have visions of them doing something like we did last season. Really hoping those red cards yesterday attract three match (or more) bans rather than just one match.
Yeovil have the right attributes in their squad to stay up - heart, desire, fight and a great team spirit. All attributes sadly lacking presently in our squad.
I would say Yeovil have a better chance of staying up than us ,we basically are not very good and I don,t see any way out this season unfortunately.
The second time 2 days I've agreed with you BR ...can't see where he gets the Yeovil are doomed bit missen. Pus our game in hand is away at Charlton I beleave.. But all is still to play for and wont be decided until May 3rd....Despite what some of the suicidal Mary's think on here..
Ahh but Yeovil now have 3 players suspended that could be a costly thing for them, but we will still go down.
I'd hoped the pitiful, pathetic, gutless collapses from earlier this season (Wigan, Blackburn, Watford, Birmingham) were a thing of the past. Apparently not. Danny's certainly got his work cut out to get the squad up for next Saturday's match. But that's what he gets paid for. That's also what the players get paid for, too. They'll get no sympathy from me when they produce such abject performances. Three points against Forest would go some way to repay the fans after yesterday. Stop being apprehensive about the opposition, go for the win from the first whistle and don't stop until the last.
......which of course.........AAAAASSSSSSSSSSUUUUUUUUmmmmeeeesSSSSSSSS.......that we will win ONE more game ....................looking at the fixture list can anyone spot a fixture that we are likely to win..........cos I can't
Yes, next Saturday against Nottingham Forest. If you & others don't, fine. That's your prerogative. I'm not telling you what to think. By the same token, I'm not prepared to be told what to think, either.
I've said since Christmas that the only thing that could save us is there's several other poor sides in the division, Blackpool, Millwall, Charlton, Donny & Yeovil are all similar in terms of quality to us. It certainly won't be like last season where all the bottom teams start winning. It's only going to take one or two of them teams to go 4 or 5 unbeaten & they'll be near enough safe but at the minute I can't see that been us.
Well said! We all have to unite, players and fans alike, for the remaining games and see what happens. It's a long shot but we cannot just accept relegation is inevitable. Wilson has to change the mindset and go for broke.
Its only my opinion... Personally I think bottom 3 will be Donny, Millwall & Yeovil... In that order with us fourth bottom.
