Looking forward to the club statement to apology to our paying fans yesterday . And no on the performance as that will never happen but the behaviour of Shea and Dawson . Let's see how much you really care about the fans. Somehow I don't this this statement will arrive anytime soon , unlike the statement on the fans behaviour the other week Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
but what would you expect the club statement to say? is there any actual clear evidence of what was said, either way? is it appropriate for the club to make a statement, based on conjecture?
An offer of free travel to the next away game as an apology for the abject performance would also seem to be appropriate.
i do actually agree that some kind of apology from the playing/mgmt staff should be forthcoming though, for the performance. and i haven't seen or heard one yet.
I went to the game yesterday, and sadly for some bizarre reason I stayed until the end. I saw the whole Dawson incident and I don't understand why he didn't just f*ck off down the tunnel like the rest of them. What did Shea do? Besides his woeful effort during the game.
did you hear what was actually said mate? so far, only jimmy has come forward with a view on what was heard.
I would like them to apologise to the fans who paid good money to watch their players but instead received 2 fingers back to the fans. Sounds pathetic but you try and explain to a 8 year old why a player of his own team is doing that . I was 5 rows back from where Dawson came over . My son was clapping him and next minute he's trying to pull some Barnsley fans head off . Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
I think we have no choice but to release a statement. When our fans do something wrong a statement condeming it gets released. Players if they do wrong should be treated no differently otherwise it makes our board look like they are taking sides. The players should stump up to refund all match tickets like what you see happen from time to time at other clubs that embarass the fans. That won't happen but a statement should be the bare min.
got to be careful here though. i have no problem with a statement, if the club has all the facts. if they don't, what would the statement say? i've still not heard anyone come forward with a clear version of what happened. i personally don't see how the club can put out a statement, based on what's been said so far.
Maybe some of our fans got their phones out and filmed the incident or one of the many cameramen caught Shea putting up a finger to our fans.
What about a statement from the supporters trust asking that the club looking into allegations that players abused the crowd. Nothing controversial just can you have a look. Potentially the statement could also request some sort of financial recompense for the abject display on the field.
What did the supporter say to Dawson to provoke a reaction ? Let's all get off the holier than thou bus for a minute Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
You having a laugh supporters trust !!! Pissing in same pot as Mansford and Stokes !!! All boys together..
I don't know them personally or follow what they do too closely so I can't comment on that All I know is they are meant to represent the views of the Everyman fan and it would be good to have them come forward as other supporters organisations have and request a financial gesture from the club after yesterday's lack of effort and application from the team.
I did yes And to honest it wasn't nice what was said but he's a pro so should be able to walk away not try and get into a scrap He was called a useless ******* Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
