We're not in division three, League One, the pub league, whatever you want to call it.

    We have not been relegated.

There are 14 games (?) left.

We're only two points adrift of fourth bottom.

We have back2back home games coming up next week.

Since Danny returned, yesterday was our first proper beating.

Some of the lads singled out for criticism yesterday were lauded as quality laikers just 7 days previous.

So confidence is shot to pieces in readiness for top of the league and play off team. Players rodding fans and arguing with them, stronger together ? As Paul Weller said lights go out and the walls come crumbling down

to be fair DT neither are any of the other bottom 6

After yesterday it can go 1 of 2 ways

Confidence goes completely and we sink without a trace

    or

We have just been given a almighty kick up he backside that makes us roll our sleeves up and get on with it

we may probably find out which next saturday

also Whitey, IMHO 8 of those games are a bit of a big ask

    Forest
    Leicester
    Watford
    Reading
    Brighton
    Burnley
    Derby
    QPR

three are a bit dodgy at best:-

    Leeds
    Bournemouth
    Middleborough

which only leaves 3 in my book that we have a better than average chance of winning:-

    Yeovil
    Charlton
    Bolton

sorry fella but I seriously fear the worst.

You've no right to have a go at any player for not trying with that attitude then.

sorry but could you point out exactly

where I am having a go at any player in that?

just saying looking at the form of all of that I cannot see us pulling it off this time.

Perversely, I can see us picking up points against teams going for promotion. Forest took a pummelling at home yesterday, the expectation upon them on Saturday could play into our hands.

you are absolutely correct, but it depends upon the mindset of our lot

last season Flitcroft sparked them into a battling Barnsley. While I believe that we should keep Danny on after this season I cannot help think that our present lot have the guts for it.... well the majority of them.

You're saying you don't believe we can beat any of them, so you must think it fair if the players think that too? Otherwise you're a hypocrite. Let's just accept relegation then. Course we can win some of them, and we will.

If Stephen Dawson was abused by supporters at full time, and he had a go back, then both he and those supporters are as idiotic as each other. I can understand some supporters having a pop at the players after a shambolic display, and I can understand a bloke like Dawson feeling justified in retaliating. Not saying it's right, or wrong, but it's not what we needed is it? And both parties ought to have realised that.

If Brek Shea did give our supporters the bird or whatever, then it's my opinion that he be sent back to Stoke. He's been absolute gash as a footballer for us, he's failed. To then rod our supporters, well... there's no coming back from that. Added to that are his previous misdemeanours. He was lambasted a while ago for uploading a photograph of himself with two automatic rifles in his hand. He was also the player at Stoke who uploaded a photo of himself holding aloft a pigs head which then found it's way into Kenwynne Jones' locker. And just 5 days ago he was rat-arsed (as was Dench Kid) in a Leeds nightclub.
Do we really need this sort of 'character' at Oakwell, and in this situation? I see no logic in retaining his services and if he lines up or takes a seat on the bench next weekend my respect for Danny Wilson will be affected.

And finally, on Danny, I will gladly admit he was the man I wanted in charge. I do believe he's given us a better chance of surviving than we'd have had were Flitcroft still here. But that said, I also think he's making some very strange decisions, much like Flitcroft.
He intended to use Bobby Hassell as a holding midfield player. Bobby's injuries put paid to that and he brought in Frimpong. He comes with baggage, it was always a gamble. But we've seen - just 7 days ago - that he can fill that role. And do it well. So I'm not going to write Dench Kid off just yet. And, if it goes wrong, he'll be gone in a couple of months.
But this faith in Brek Shea is unfathomable for me. Not only is Paddy McCourt a far better player (and our own), so are Tomasz Cywka and Reuben Noble-Lazarus.
I'm also perturbed at the random nature of some of his inclusions. Digby for example. Nowhere to be seen, then pops up in a starting role at Donny. Then dropped altogether. Woods, again, included randomly, then dropped just as quickly. And yesterday it was Lawrence's turn, after weeks without an appearance. It's chuffing bizarre in my opinion. Why wasn't Dawson included on ALL occasions? Where is Etuhu? I'm not suggesting they're great or owt, but I really am struggling to see why he recruited a **** load of midfielders and no left back. Neither is that a dig at Kennedy. He's improved since Danny returned (he couldn't get any worse to be fair). But if he's gash, or injured, then what? As I say, bizarre.

I hope we stay up, and for some reason I still believe we will do. And I'm not wishing away my time, but I really can't help wishing it was over (this season). It has been a ******* nightmare. I'm not playing the blame game. It's easy for folk to say "the Rochdale clowns did this" or "I blame The Don/Cryne for not backing Robins" etc. But I could go back to Dave Bassett if I wanted, and some of his decisions post-Wembley, from where the decline began. Or Spackman's horrific spell. And so on.
Fact is, we're still here, we've a couple of months left of this nightmare and all we can do is either give in (as I'm told the players did yesterday) or keep supporting this little club of ours.

I'm choosing option two. I'm already looking forward to meeting up with friends next Saturday before going down Oakwell and hopefully cheering the lads on to victory.

    You Reds.

The fact is Whitey, is they were not quality on Saturday. I personally thought Wilson had got the midfield wrong. Irrespective if we play like that for the rest of the season we are down. 2points at present seems too much for our team. Need to get Readybrek, Frimpong and Kennedy out and anyone else in

    Re: good points Whitey, however

    You're right, Baz.

This season our wins have come along very rarely, and weeks apart.

    First win? Matchday 5.

    Second? Matchday 12.

    Third? Matchday 18.

    Fourth? Matchday 26.

    Fifth? Matchday 32.

If we continue down this road (form suggests we will) then we'll be relegated. We've been in need of back2back wins all season, it's the only way to instill confidence in the squad, the management and the supporters.

After our first win over Huddersfield, we were turned over by Forest.

After beating Boro, we drew with Wednesday.

We beat Brighton, lost at Burnley.

    Beat Blackpool, drew against Blackburn.

Then beat Millwall, before losing yesterday.

From the 14th of September to the 30th of November, we garnered just 7 points from a possible 36. Losing 7 of 12 games, winning just once.

Our record since Flicker left - 15 points from 45.

Slight improvement. But it's not good enough.

We are though, in with a chance of survival because there are other clubs just as bad as we are.
