I'm probably still p*ssed from last night but as Oakwell is rarely more than 50% full, would it not be wise to close some parts of the ground to bring the fans that are in attendance closer together?

If we go down, we'll be lucky to average 8500-9000 gates. I'm going to be shot down for this but why not close the West and maybe even the East Upper (or parts of it). It would make Oakwell "look" more full and would save costs on stewarding/cleaning up etc.

sure they've done it with the north side of the west stand, should probably do same with the east and get everyone cosied up!

I like the East Upper, and aren't they the most expensive season tickets as the view is good? Maybe close the far corners I guess, but I only every sit Upper by the half way line.

Suppose that's the thing, the view from the East Upper is the best in the ground. I think all the season tickets are the same price.

Normally in the early rounds of the cups and a low crowd is expected they shut the West Stand and open the Ponty End and the East Stand. If we go down and have crowds of between 6,000 - 9,000 it could be an idea to do it for all the season. They are also gonna have to think of something inventive for match tickets as for some games it probably will be just season ticket holders and a small number of away fans.

How are they gonna attract the casual fan to come down and buy a ticket for a home match on a cold Tuesday night in January against Crawley Town?

Shutting West Stand if any are to shut makes most sense to me. The only issue is that it won't be truly shut though because it's used by the press etc so the cost saving will be lessened as it will still have to be staffed.

Season tickets are more expensive in the upper tiers. The cheapest seats ironically cost the club the most money

What has your contribution to filling Oakwell been this season/decade/millennium?

It was more of a "stop being a ******* hypocrite slating the fans for not turning up when you don't go to games yourself" thing actually

Probably lose the few that sit in the West Upper.
