    I saw yesterday's Dawson/Shea events!

If I'd treat any of my customers like that and reacted likewise I'd be in deep brown shitty stuff! There needs to be something come out of this. It's not too much to ask surely.

We all know emotions run high. But especially after these last few weeks where fans have been banned for 'misbehaving' then it's only appropriate in my eyes to maintain a sense of consistancy!

I wasn't at the game so cannot comment but agree the club should investigate the actions of the players in question.
All players as professionals have a responsibility to act in a fit and proper manner when representing their club.
Any breach of discipline requires the club to act within the rules implemented.
If Guilty then Shea's loan should immediately be terminated and Dawson imo should be fined and warned about his future conduct .
These incidents need to be dealt with swiftly so we can completely focus on the upcoming fixtures without any distractions.

i do think the club need to get the facts, before they take any action. and i reckon that might prove tricky. we've already heard conflicting reports on here, from 'dog's abuse', to 'usual not fit to wear the shirt'. i don't think anything will happen, due to lack of hard evidence. not publicly, anyway

I think that both Dawson and Shea should be called into the managers office and asked politely to tell what happened. Then if Wilson feels that there is something to it he should start an investigation involving interviewing the players present etc, if he feels there was nowt to it then job done

As a side note, if any action was taken against a player then it would surely have to be taken against the few fans too for using foul or abusive language as even 'you're not fit to wear the shirt' is abusive when shouted at a player. Just a thought

lets get this right - the fans want to have the right to throw abuse at our players but want action if they hit back - hideous

I disagree. Shouting you're not fit to wear the shirt isnt abusive. It's an opinion based on watching professional players not giving a **** (in most cases) and/or displaying that they are not capable of fulfilling the role that they get paid for. If someone works in a call centre, and tells a customer to 'fook off' (which is what in effect Shea did) then they'd be doing one to the job centre!

If what I was told (by numerous folk at the game) happened, happened, then I think Shea should be sent packing immediately. If not, I can see real fireworks on Saturday. And, my respect for Danny will be affected.

I've no issue with Dawson. He was an idiot reacting to idiots.

As call centre workers are generally third party then the analogy is flawed but I see what you mean
A better analogy would be if a customer in tescos was slagging off a checkout lass and she turned round and told the customer to **** off. you're right the employee might be sacked or at least disciplined but the customer would be banned from the store too

It seemed something and nothing to me. Dawson got a bit carried away in the moment. Shea on the other hand surely we are looking for an excuse to ditch him and he has presented us with it.

We'll agree to disagree. If I was in Tesco. Didn't like my service and stated 'you're not fit to work here' I wouldn't expect to be banned from the store. No bad language, nothing offensive other than expressing an opinion of what you've witnessed and what the company standards expect to deliver.

Come on, Gaz. Tha knows that's not all that was said to Daws.

You may have said that, but a mate told me this afternoon what he himself said to Daws...

"tha ******* ***** Dawson, ******* Irish lovely person"

The irony is that my mate's dad is Irish. Silly basterd.

Not at all. Singing that chant is the customers only method of saying 'the service I am paying for is not up to the standards I require', like emailing Tesco to say that the Oranges you bought were mouldy. Dawson and Shea reacting in that manner is like Tesco's HR employee replying saying 'go f'ck yourself'.

Shea should be sent back and Dawson should be fined heavily

If I thought it would make a jot of difference I would. Use Cunning's example then, and say in the shop that the product/service is terrible and you wouldn't get the check out girl trying to fight you.

You should see some of the shops that I go in ;)

I havent tried to defend the players at all by the way as I've no idea what went on. All I said was that if you're taking action against the players for their conduct then the few 'fans' involved could and probably should see action taken against them too if they were out of order. By the sounds of it at least one was guilty of racially abusing dawson

I wouldn't expect my staff to put up with the abuse Dawson received, particularly in view of the fact he came to applaud the fans,he would have been better just walking away though.
