    Captain Sensible?
You should see what I've tweeted to Brek.
It's not abusive ... but I think he'll get the idea if he can be arsed to pick his phone up without flipping the bird the every fecker around him.

Can't wait to see the reaction when Rotherham put 6 by us at The New York Cheesecake Velodrome next season.

With the sound of things...............and the only conclusion I can gather from what happened at the Hudders debacle...................is for Dawson to be leaving the ground early and escorting some of our more naive fans down to the railway station

I agree its a big gesture , but IMHO one that was not needed

if a fan is hurling all the names under the sun and insults too why should he have to stand there and take it. If you ring a call center and yell a stream of abuse down the phone see how long it is before you are cut off.If a Poliiceman stops you and you then yell abuse at him, see how long it is before the "Paddy Wagon" takes you in. Too many time do people think they can yell at people in a public sector, and use them as some sorta verbal punch bag.

As if I'd read something you've posted, you fuzzy haired, parker wearing, big gay witch.

Here's my idea then ... Brek Shea has more potential than any other player in our squad.
    Suck on that, beeeatttccchhhhh.

Now all we need are the abusers to apologise to Steven Dawson with the same generosity and grace. Then we can all move on and look forward to beating Forest on Saturday.

"As a Club, we do not condone any provocative actions from any of its employees and would like to further apologise for any offence caused."

As far as I understand it the provocative actions were made by supporters not Dawson. He was the one being victimised. The club has wilted on this one. I'd be very disappointed if that was my gaffer. Not that I have one.

well done daws. top man. don't really rate him as a player, but can't fault him for this response. be interesting to see what happens with break shea now. fans are fickle, but i sense his future at the club may be on borrowed time. i certainly think danny would be unwise to even have him in the squad for saturday.

The difference is that from what I've seen of both players
Dawson did it because he cares about BFC, and he was frustrated (as demonstrated in his performances - maybe lacking in finesse sometimes, but rarely lacking in effort)

Shea did it because he couldn't give a sh#t about Barnsley & the fans (as demonstrated in his performances, his girlfriend's tweets and his lack of apology)

I'll happily cheer Dawson in a Red shirt, but Shea can do one as far as I'm concerned.

I still don't think its acceptable, for a player to conduct himself like he did, then make an apology followed by a donation that will be pocket change to him.
Sorry, but Dawson in my opinion should have been punished by the club by sacking him, shouldn't wear a Barnsley shirt again.Supposed to be a professional player.

wow. you're a harsh man. do you think he should just accept a man standing in front of him and personally abusing him after a game of football? do you genuinely believe that's acceptable?

If all footballers did that with the abuse they get from the stands, it would be like a WWE royal rumble!!
Should have just walked away, like most good pro's would have.

If he can't except fans voicing their true opinions, he shouldn't be a footballer.... Oh its Dawson, He's not anyway!! :)

a guy has just been on Radio Sheff.

Says he was stood next to the idiots.

Says Dawson was making his way over and fair play to him was applauding the fans and saying sorry but these idiots gave him some vile abuse.

Says Dawson turned and started to walk away and the abuse got worse, thats when he snapped and started having a go back.

He says he's not heard anything like it before.

His wife said call yourself supporters and they started on her.
