I don't think they'd have gone up like that if it wasn't given out.

They were convinced and he gave a guilty shot within minutes of the decision anyway so it's all good.

Should have had another, minutes later too.

I was quite critical of the team early up but I think they will have learnt a lot about a few of the players.

Ali, could be picked for test cricket. Vaughan last night said they could pick him and Root as two part timers and lengthen the batting line up to 8 and look at stokes to bowl a lot with Brenan Broad Anderson.

Butler looks like a test keeper, his energy in the fields very good. A lot of peeople made a lot of the KP comments to Prior about getting in the nets because Bulter but it was good advice really.

 

Prior has been on the decline for a while, but has been a great servant during a halcyon period for us.

 

He's Englands player of the year. 12 months ago he was the star man in New Zealand. He had two bad series.

I'd prefer Butler.

 

It's saying a lot. It could have been 4/5 of them. Lot of really good performances in that year.
Including winning in India which was massive.
KP Cook Prior Anderson Trott Swann all could have got it.
