Great Performance I thought from him, what wa others opinion? Someone I just spoke to said he was horrific
Here's one I made earlier http://bbs.barnsleyfc.org.uk/showth...Dawson-s-perfomance-was-apology-enough-for-me
He must have said terrific and you misheard him, because if that what he thinks horrific looks like his eyes are fecked !
He'll never be the most skilful player, but it's blood and guts we need at the moment and he had those by the bucket full.
Re: by the way Jammy They did fantastically!! They really enjoyed it, and one of them spotted an incredibly difficult pattern worthy of a level 5 at least: number of moves = (green frogs x blue frogs) + total number of frogs
so seriously? do you believe its a way forwards... I am very very old school (bad pun) so am not convinced as I perhaps made clear before. But I am not that big a dinosaur to at least take a look.
Re: so seriously? I don't really want to take over this thread with it, but yeah I do. There's plenty of room in the week for old school stuff too, but giving open ended questions is always a plus as it allows discussion and encourages them to apply the things they have learned. Here's what we did yesterday: http://www.transum.org/software/SW/Starter_of_the_day/starter_May7.asp?ver=stu This gave them a chance to consolidate their knowledge of factors and multiples in a different way, rather than them just writing them all down in a long list. There is an option to change numbers lower down for the higher ability children.
Re: so seriously? Miscontrolled the ball a few times, and misplaced a couple of passes which nearly cost us, but he made up for it with his work-rate. Typical Dawson performance.
Re: so seriously? He was essential to the win, harrying their midfield for 90 minutes and providing cover for the awol Hunt on several occasions. He'd never kill that high ball with one touch if he stayed here til next week, but the football savvy at Oakwell can see what he brings to the team even if it's not all pleasant to the eye. Wish he'd stuck around to take the applause, he deserved it as he did when his name was called out at kick off.
Re: so seriously? I wondered how long down this thread I'd get before someone pointed out the obvious. There was one spell in the second half where I thought he may be allergic to the ball or something.
