No doubt he's talented, just a shame he tends to hide most of the game.

Just cos someone slags Mellis off he is therefore a berk?.... The guy is entitled to his opinion. For most of the season I have thought Mellis has been garbage as have many others.....Mellis does generally need a kick in the behind or he needs releasing in the close season...

Don't get how anyone can have a go at one of our most talented and creative players on the pitch. To slate him all game is a disgrace.

I rate Mellis (my opinion) and to say he's garbage shows a lack of footballing intelligence.

Supertyke had a go last week, and the week before I think. He tries to work hard and put himself about but it's not his hand.

WTF does he create, RED????? Apart from a big hole in midfield?

not having that, if he actually created something and was lazy (a'la Paddy McCourt) I'd be fine with that but he hides. I love proper football players who are naturally gifted.

But only when they actually apply their gifts. Mellis more often than not doesn't bother.

Only a Barnsley fan could moan about us having a player like Mellis. All about opinions I know but some won't happy unless we had 11 Dawson's.

nothing like that at all. McCourt is my favourite player of ours, O'Brien my punchbag. Nothing to do with loving triers. I just don't think Mellis performs his role particularly effectively.

I like McCourt too. I'd agree to an extent about Mellis. Also think Cykwa should be in somewhere.

Think he'd more effective playing further up with freedom like this time last year.

But for some to complain and call him garbage is just stupid.

Have the same thoughts on Jimbo, the German video it's spelt and Shea.

He was woeful yesterday. He's lazy, doesn't want to tackle, doesn't like to head the ball. Anything else I missed? At HT it was crying out for Cywka or McCourt to replace him. I think Jennings would have done in that role too. He needs dropping for a game or two to show him he's not an instant pick, might make him think about what he has to do on the pitch.

Jim didn't look right yesterday, I didn't expect him to last as long as he did.

I noticed Jim edging his way to dugout on first substitution and when it wasn't his number on board he seemed to gesticulate to the bench at which danny shouted him over to seemingly calm him down.
That's the way I read it anyway but we'll never know if that was the case I suppose
