    Are all the bans temporary just out of interest?

    Emotions tend to be running high on Saturday and adding alcohol to the mix probably doesn't help.

    I've known Shenk all my life and he's a very decent fella, as is Mark. I saw those comments arrive and while I don't agree with them, it's plain to see Hemsworth had wound them up to breaking point.

    There is a limit that sensible people will put up with and thus ban seems reasonable to be honest I would put mind him getting one every time we keep a clean sheet or win Every discussion becomes infantile every thread us me me me it just boring for adults. I'd say he was childish but my 2 year old is far more able to explain what she likes and dislikes and why.

    While clearly personal abuse is not the way forwards it's easy to understand why people feel so pissed off they descend to that level. I don't see them as bullies myself just at the end of their tether with someone who talks out of his arse 99% of the time.

    I can as cheeky as anyone, but I tend to be too busy to troll after people all day, studying the nuances of their individual behavioural patterns. :)

    At end of the day we all support barnsley , life's too short to argue and fall out , especially when it's on a forum where we don't even know who we are talking to most of the time .

    No, he's been banned for one whole day for constant trolling, deliberately stirring up the same old arguments, and spoiling the board for other users. All of which he has been continually warned about. In fact the last time someone else banned him he was on a final warning.

    Two other people have been banned for abusive posts about him.

    A tiny part of me is wondering why the hell I bother with any of this crap. There's one person had any grief today - me. For trying to keep the place running along.
    It's not me posting endless provocative threads, and it's not me posting personal abuse. But still, let's have people who only know half a story wading in with their two-penneth.

    The reason for posting the OP in the first place was to let people know that will will act on both accounts.

    Definitely time for a rethink.

    worst thing you can do is get involved in the debate. you've seen what happens. fwiw, i think you've done the right thing with the bans. but next time (and there will be a next time), just don't tell people. when the banned people return, i'm certain they'll do that for you!

    I think most people appreciate your efforts. I do admin for a much more sedate economic forum and that's a big enough pain in the bum so thanks for all your efforts.
