The Star avoids the issue of what constitutes an integrated community. Don't give them any meat at all is my answer.
im presuming this is to suit muslim kids so the non muslim kids have a choice to eat halal or non halal meals. then why not let the muslims have a choice eating pork or dont eat pork. what if the non muslim kids find halal meals offensive? will they remove them
I love stories like this. F.ck the Muslims and their local council for which they pay their taxes providing services for them!!
and they wonder why there is racism what happened to the "When in Rome" saying. Sorry but this Country has totally gone under.
I certainly think they do at Catholic schools. They ask for practicing Catholics when jobs are advertised. On the other hand I think there are very few traditional C of E schools left, I think they are now just 'State maintained schools' - mores the pity- I enjoyed pretending to sing hymns on a morning with those blue and white hymn books
so am guessing the Christian kids will be told next to remove any crosses from their jewellery. breathless.... totally.
Re: so am guessing the Christian kids will be told next to remove any crosses most schools have 'no jewellery' policy...unless it is for religious reasons...and then it is generally asked to be covered up.
School should be just that , SCHOOL never mind about Pork off the menu, get freakin religion OFF THE MENU. Let the kids and their families then make the choice. IF they wanna learn religion then let their place of worship teach it... and not the school. This is yet another example of PC going stupid.... I bet UKIP/BNP are loving it.
Just wondering when one groups rights/beliefs etc start to take precedence. What about people who object to how animals are slaughtered for Halal meat ? **** them ? Nobody's forcing them to eat Halal meat, but I don't think anyone was forcing Muslim children to eat pork or non halal meat. Think it's been said on this thread, but what can be seen as special treatment (whether it is or isn't is open to debate) just gives fuel to the usual suspects who thrive on causing division and friction. I wonder if Muslim parents actually campaigned for pork to be taken off the menu ?
unless it is for religious reason... you just answered the question I wonder which lot wear the most religious jewelley/clothing etc. hmmmmm?
Probably not, I imagine it's some one trying to do the right thing but it being reported in the papers causes a bit of a storm. I reckon they looked at keeping pork for non Muslims but found it too costly and cheaper to just buy halal chicken in bulk. Nailed on. But folk see this and it's 'THE MUSLIMS ARE TAKING OVER'.
Re: unless it is for religious reason... you just answered the question 'Which lot' I'm not racist, but...
It's the non-Muslims that have been f.cked though by having pork products removed. The Muslims get halal meat in a Christian country but to appease what is a minority, pork has been removed from the menu. Choice has been taken away from non-Muslims.
