Scargill thought he was Che Guevara, a new Marxist hero who was going to bring down the evil capitalist pigs. Totally wrong man for the job, mistake after mistake, Thatcher tore him a new one.
Re: never once voted labour As opposed to kicking them ala the tories. But hey as long as dragons OK fek the rest those are your policies
Thatcher tore the uk a new one Get ready sunshine Gas electric will shoot up next 6/18 months Thanks maggie xx
Amazing how you can post after post about subjects you obviously know fek all about, bet nobody dare start a topic in your company before you pipe up with a topper
Re: never once voted labour Thatcher only stayed in power so long because her opponents; Scargill, Galtieri, Foot and Kinnock were so utterly useless.
I remember the miner's strike alright, just can't understand how Thatcher gets all the blame and Scargill gets off scot-free when they were both to blame.
No She stayed in because of plastic selfish people like you Once you bought your cheap vouncil house you truly believed that you were middle class pffff
Course you don't cos your guessing what happened without coming anywhere near the truth, how d you expect anyone to take you serious when you spout the ***** about the facts as you see them(probably from the sun or mail)
What did scargill do wrong Is defending a core of 200, 000 jobs plus another 350, 000 support jobs wrong ? Are you happy that her policies decimated your home town ?
Good to know you don't only hate your country and have no patriotism you also hate those around you. At least you're consistent.
I no idea why you thought it would be a good idea to tell me about your family? I don't care. its your family you are betraying not mine. Unless you thought I was going to bully you too ? no phone ha ha !
So if it was all true - and he knew all this - and knew how many peoples livelyhoods would be affected and the coal could actually be produced economically why the **** didn't he go cap in hand tugging his forelock and agreeing to changes in working conditions - accepting the closure of uneconomic pits like Cortonwood and changes to working practices and improved efficiencies - a no strike agreement to this critical industry. Why the **** didn't he do his sums. Cow towing would have been much better for the families and the industry as a whole and there would have been much more money in miners families pockets, and communities would have a much softer landing. But he didn't Cos he's an egotistical lovely person who deserves more blame than anyone for the current state of Barnsley - including Thatcher
The facts and figures were manipulated by Thatcher. The whole situation was manipulated by themanufacturer to.break the. Num. For bringing down the previous tory government
