The fact of the matter is we were just awful.

No fight. No passion. No nothing.

Mellis and McCourt were terrible. M'voto when he came on was a joke. It was embarrassing and frustrating to watch. After Saturday I had an hint of optimism for tonight - not massively but I thought if we got stuck into them and snuck a goal we might be able to claim a point. We never woke up. I was gobsmacked at the time and space we allowed them to have. Basics seemingly went out of the window for tonight.

Mellis was the worst player out there tonight. He offered NOTHING. NOTHING going forward amd nothing going back. He looked disinterested all night and how he remained on for 90 minutes baffled me. McCourt had to go off at half time because he too was anonymous.

The first 15 minutes of the second half was better and I actually (stupidly) thought we might get back into the game. Then we get hit with a one two and bang. It's all over and we're back to looking like headless chicken.

That to me looked like a side already relegated.

Did you think Dawson played well?

Dawson battled, got stuck in and actually looked interested but he was exposed all evening and was just seriously out of his depth.

The first 15 minutes of the 2nd half was the bit before we lost Ramage. Really went downhill after that.

Ultimately he's not good enough at this level for me.

    Seconded, Poet.

With the exception of Luke Steele, none of this lot should ever kick a ball again in the Championship after this season.

There isn't a footballing brain between them, and they play like they're total strangers.

I'm afraid Mr Cryne has cheated us out of our money by allowing the Chuckle Brothers from Lancashire to assemble this bunch of unprofessional wastrels.

They were two leagues above us although both the first two goals came straight after the defensive changes (no strength in depth).

McCourt has a footballing brain. He just has NO ONE to pass to. The only player in red brave enough to actually hold the ball in the first half... No one wanted it off him though.

Aye. He made the one defence splitting pass in the first half. Mellis would have been clean through. Then the ref decided to block it, send Leicester on the attack which also led to crainie getting injured.

When ya down on luck jeees. It never rains but pours.

If I didn't have to get up for work I would demolish what whiskey I have left.

We were outgunned in every single department, there's no battling Barnsley with the likes of Mellis in the team. NONE of the midfielders we have are as good as Perkins and I didn't rate him that highly!

I can't argue with anything you have said Poet. Some of our players, and I use the term player in its loosest possible meaning, should be ashamed.

Impossible to knock his effort but he was seriously out of his depth against more skilful and faster both n thought and of foot opposition.
