    Semi Final v Oughtibridge FC at the San Sheerian Park at Athersley. 19:45 ko. Winners to play Frickley/Worksop int final at Hillsboro/New York Rovrum.

    Soz mate, never got chance to walk around as i bumped into a lot of folk i know.

    Rec did look two leagues better than dee dahs, who did not get a shot on target the full 90 mins.

    Deserved trip to Swillsborough......although being a Barnsley team, winning in dee dah land is a must!

    What spoilt the event was, at end of game, a load of young dee dahs who had been drinking all game, started to get a bit cocky, one of them picked up a house brick to have a go!

    Bit of a stand off and then "BANG"......he got a crack off a Athersley lad.

    Started by dee dahs.....finished by Barnsley.

    They got the monk on with us in the bottom corner, we were giving one of their lads a bit of hammer after he made a bad tackle and they took umbrage. Started asking what the score was at Oakwell the night before, how many Jamie Vardy and that got which as you can imagine really, really, really upset me.

    They shifted and at the end of the game that bell end stands there giving it the big man with a f.cking house brick only to be clouted by one of the Rec lads. Soon put it down then.

    Looking forward to Hillsborough.

    No worries. Like Dyson says was quality.

    And those 2 kids in the black puffer jacket things at the end. Threatening folk with a house brick. FFS of all the places to do that?!? Athersley?!? UTRec. Final on a Thursday, May 6th or 8th or sommet!

    It wasn't ruined mrx, t'was an historic and enjoyable match. Be a tuff final no matter who wins the other semi. Frickley are leagues higher and Worksop are flying and the leagues biggest spenders.

    To then pick up a house brick, as you say, in Athersley, really does show the level of intelligence thye have.
