totally agree, Hill with his ludicrous second division shopping policy then Flitcroft's additions creating totally unbalanced one (slow) speed squad

I Still think had we played the same high tempo in their face style that saved us last season we wouldn't be in the sh1it now.

Its obvious this group of players cant play this type of football, we should be playing to their strengths until the end of the season and then getting rid.

We replaced flitcroft with a manager who as come in and other than try and change personnel is still playing the same style of footy that got flicker the sack.

we are gonna go down without a hint of a fight playing like this

Agree 100%. I can't understand why some still worship the two of them.

Aye, if it wasn't for Flitcroft we would be looking at a comfortable mid-table finish.

    This is our problem.

When things were ok under Keith and then Flicker, they were lauded like Gods on here, talk of 5 year contracts etc.

But as soon as it goes tits up, folk change the record and blame them for everything and want them removing. It's this short term attitude that sees us where we are. We need to ride out one of these disaster spells, back that manager, and see what it brings. I regret calling for Keith's head now.

    I never called for Flicker's.

Not all of us , some of us didn`t like their accent and that made us( well me anyway) b`stards of the highest order !
I have also said the same about Wilsons accent but not got any grief ! Strange that. Maybe Danny has not got his mates to sign up on here yet b?

Keith Hill did not take us down

Gary Flitcroft did not take us down

Danny Wilson will be taking us down

I do not think that any Barnsley manager's remit must be other than to keep us in this division

When Danny applied for the job I'm sure he must have said he had the werewithal to keep us up

Sadly, whether it was inevitable or not, there has been no improvement at all.

His latest spell has been a major disappointment.

But there has been improvement. Just not enough quickly enough

Don't underestimate the mess DAVID Flitcroft left behind. He could do with the bells Doyle spoke if being put around his neck.

It seems to me sad that people no longer acknowledge what Flitcroft did last year.

You were not talking about a mess at the end of last season. You no doubt thought he was a miracle worker then.

And you can never know what he might have pulled out for the rest of this season

What we do know is that the heart of our team is now missing and our despair is greater

And there is no discernible pattern to how we now play

We've done this before, but anyway....

Looking at this objectively, even though you may not think so: When Hill was sacked it could be justified, the results supported the decision. When Flitcroft stepped in and turned it round completely, the results supported the decision for him to get the job. At that stage the blame aimed at Hill has to end: the squad was good enough to stay up and many were very positive about where this season would go once Flitcroft added to the existing squad.

Was there a mass outcry when players like Wiseman, Dawson and Kennedy started the season at the club? No, because although they might have gone on to illustrate they aren't good enough recently/right now, they were good enough to be part of a squad that did so well to stay up. You can't blame Hill for signing them if Flitcroft then got them playing well enough to be lauded as heroes at Huddersfield on the final day. It doesn't mean they're the greatest players in the world, or even any good really, just that they were good enough at a particular time to justify Hill bringing them in.

Now when Flitcroft started this season something changed significantly, it's impossible to work out why it changed or exactly what the change was, but that change was an amazing shift from positive to negative in such a short time. An example? Wiseman might be public enemy no.1 for his comments since leaving, but it was Flitcroft who shoved him back to right back after he'd excelled in the centre when helping to keep the club in the Championship. Some of the manager's decision making after he got the job permanently was very strange and seemed completely the opposite to the way he'd dealt with things between January and May, and it was no surprise when he went. Since then Wilson has changed the squad which makes sense as he wants his own players in, but there's no reason why Flitcroft, and especially Hill, get the blame after a 3-0 defeat today. Sometimes players have to take a long hard look at themselves.
