I don't subscribe to blaming the players. If they don't perform, be it through disinterest or lack of ability or lack of organisation, it has to be the manager's fault.
Absolute crap. I don't blame Hill, Flicker or Wilson fully when we lose badly. Players have to take responsibility and they don't .
Who picks them? Who decides whether they have the talent or the character? Who said owt about "badly" anyway? If you put donkeys on the pitch they'll bray
He wouldn't have pulled owt out. He had lost it and should have gone MUCH sooner. The heart has been gone all season.
Agree with the last line but you have to look at the incidents that have led us here. It's one disaster after another under those two be it poor signings or terrible treatment of certain players for no reason but an over inflated sense of their own importance. There's little doubt the odious **** Mr Hill will get his day back at Oakwell next season and true to firm will revel in the disaster he helped to make. I just hope we have had a clear out out by then and give him a panning. But can't see that either
All we've got is various levels of donkey. And if they don't at least try surely the players have to take some blame?
Yeah for that one game where they let their manager down After that he offers a carrot to another donkey
We don't. Somebody else does. In all honesty the terribly corrupting influence of money in football dictates that we are a long term Div 1 side. So any manager who can't keep us in mid table in Div 1 is not making the best use of what may be at his disposal
It's hard to accept because historically we don't "belong" there. But on the new financial reality we do. What many of us will have to answer is wether or not be can blindly follow football without hope of being better.
That game against Leicester had me wondering, for the first time ever, whether I really wanted to pay to be continually kicked in the teeth. My 16 year old - not known as profound - told me he might like Div (League) 1 as he might see us win regularly. Bottom of the league, but surviving by the skin of your teeth, is not a long term businees model.
Correct it's not bit I think once down we will stay down and dreaming of the champ will be just that a dream.
