Can't see the original tingleytyke post but getting shut of Perkins wasn't a mistake it was a good move . Awful laiker. And another who didn't give a ****
of course its something to with Danny, He would've got the plaudits had he taken us to mid-table safety wouldn't he? If its nothing to do with the manager he shouldn't be here. We never had the Honeymoon period that other clubs seem to get when they change manager.
Some people do talk out of there arse. Yes we were awful today and when I set off this morning I knew we would lose. Squad decimated by injuries and replacements not up to it. Danny's a good manager with a good track record he however can't shine *****.
Re: All of the squad is Wilson's - whether he signed them or not. And there is the crux of it !! You are just wanting to be proved right , so no matter what happened , you and several others were waiting to pounce !
Re: All of the squad is Wilson's - whether he signed them or not. The season was lost before Danny arrived when we failed to beat Yeovil, Charlton, Wednesday and Donny at home. We needed 12 points from those games we were never going to get much from the home games at this end of the season.
Re: All of the squad is Wilson's - whether he signed them or not. And there is the crux of this board. You can not have an opinion and voice it. No matter how wrong you hope to be. Just because you cant see the halo most others can obviously see, even though you were part of the same ride 17 years ago.
Re: All of the squad is Wilson's - whether he signed them or not. No mate, I know how it is, I could not wait for Davey to fall down, I never wanted him and loved it when it went wrong for him !
Re: All of the squad is Wilson's - whether he signed them or not. Theres a slight difference then. I didn't want Wilson employed, for the reasons stated above. Because of those reasons I did expect to be relegated. However, I wanted to be wrong. I would have loved to be proved incorrect - and 100% hope this thread be brought up at the end of the season and im shown to be a complete fool.
Re: All of the squad is Wilson's - whether he signed them or not. people keep saying Danny's record since leaving us is good, but its all in league 1 and 2. Maybe he will be the right man next season, but he was the wrong man this. We needed someone who was going to motivate the players to go out and run through a brick wall for him. we were never going to football our way to safety. I think the board should have gone to flicker and said look cut all this tip tap/stand off crap and go back to how we played last season or we are gonna sack you. if he walked so be it. But this team just isn't good enough to play nice football
Re: All of the squad is Wilson's - whether he signed them or not. Can't believe anyone would have wanted Flitcroft to stay beyond the point he did. Look at his signings M'Voto FFS
Yeah we were world beaters and alot further up the league when they took over. And they were able to keep all our best players. But they decided to sell Butterfield and Stones and Vaz Te just for fun And Flitcroft was so bad he had us all singing his praises last season They really wrecked us Such that Danny is incapable of doing the job that Flitcroft did last season, despite his obviously superior managerial talents which have been on display by virtue of our performances since he took over,
What you need to remember or take into account is the absolute shambles of a squad Flicker left. Balance completely wrong, players playing because they were in the clique not because of form in fact staying because they were in the clique. Players let go and replaced with ones of inferior quality. Furthermore, he let the "success" of last season go to his head. The squad is tired and dejected. The club is. To expect Wilson to rectify that in three months is not on IMHO.
He was lucky to get as long as he did. The alarm bells should have been ringing after Wigan and after wanting to bring Ramage in
