Only just got round to watching the goals..

    Feeble set of soft basterds.

First un is a sweet strike, can't fault it. But Dawson has only ever connected properly with a ball in the air about three times in his BFC career, so a fresh air slice was always likely. Bless him though, at least he tries.

Unlike any of the silly cnuts who failed to stop the second goal despite 26 opportunities to do so. Even FúCK SAKE KENNEDY diverts it into our net rather than out. Soft little ponce.

And as much as I like watching a genuine footballer in Mellis, I can't ******* stand watching him jog back to defend and then (at 22 years old or whatever) be turned so easily you'd think he was nursing a recent hip operation. Soft as **** moron. And even then, there was some comedic and feeble attempts after that to stop em making it three.

The only other bit I saw was then a nice bit of play between Noble-Lazarus on the left and Mellis central who pinged a delightful ball through that Proschwitz nearly stuck away with class. So well done on that, lads.

Impossible - usually - to judge a game/performance etc based on short highlights so I won't try to. But can I ask where during these clips was Emanuel Frimpong? You know, the young lad we signed from Arsenal, the guy who sits in midfield and gets tackles in and breaks up play? The job that Etuhu did last season.
How many games has he had now, about seven? And only against a dire Millwall did he show up well.

If only Flicker hadn't ignored Hassell all season and made him train with the kids. We'd never have needed to sign this Dench Kid. But Bobby ran himself into submission against Leeds, bossed the whole pitch, not just midfield. Because he cares about Barnsley. He cares about how he performs. The consummate professional. But that display off the back of a four month spell of inactivity saw him quickly hurt underworked and ageing muscles and despite showing up well against Bolton, his body surrendered. So we had to call in reinforcements. And from the bits and pieces I've seen of all three of Woods, Lawrence and ******* 'Frimmy' I've concluded that a hybrid of all three would still be no better than a fully fit and focused Bobby Hassell.

Please Lord, let him get through training ok this week. It would give me hope seeing him leading the lads out next week. Even more hope would be there were Fúck Sake and Mellis dropped. Get Reuben in at left back now. It's not his position, but I'd like to see him and Jennings combining down that side.

Sorry about the sweary rant and my Bobby-tinted perspective. But at least I've stayed true to myself this season. I've wanted Hassell and Reuben in from day dot. And Jim O'Brien who folk suggested was ***** for weeks, until he was no longer available and we shed eleven goals in four games. I was wrong about Mellis, though. His lack of heart has really shown this past week. And I can't believe I thought Hunt was going to be so better than Wiseman. He looks like a replica. £2m Premier League player? Wow.

    You moaning basterd Reds.

I agree that the goals and performance were crap.. What's your views on how the club has got us in this mess. Poor selection of loans and buys. Poor leadership and play formation etc. letting players go who are better than those fetched in. If we can see it Whitey, what are the management looking at

Agree with everything that you've said there Whitey.

Kennedy, Mellis and Frimpong might as well sit with me. What a waste of time.

can't fault much of what you say, mate. second and third goals were embarassing. Mellis is honestly a disgrace, that third goal just summed him up perfectly, too casual and sloppy on the ball and then spineless in 'trying' to rectify his mistake.

it's all leaving a sour taste at the moment.

I've bashed O'Brien big time in the past, and I still don't think he's good enough for this league, but at least he'd put up some kind of fight.

Don't think I've ever disliked a Barnsley team as much as I do the current.

I'm going to post a thread explaining where I think we went wrong.

So I take it you'd keep starting Dawson?

    I think we're missing Perks.

We need a tough tackling midfield General.

Deffo. I watched his efforts for Blackpool and instantly bought "We miss him". We just need another talentless toiler who can't even toil.

Watching game yesterday , it looks like the players have given up . Only Jennings and Steele turned up , one of the worst displays from our team for a few seasons .time for a change of players and tactics and lets have a go at teams rather than sitting back

Dunno how you worked that out from my OP. Unless you took my 'at least he tries' remark as me being serious/positive. But to be fair, who can we play instead of him and the other failures?

We've naff all to change it with really.

Until Ramage and Cranie return, it's going to be M'Voto and Nyatanga at centre half, because we've seemingly got no young centre half coming through who's as good as M'Voto. A startling statement in itself.

We've not had two left backs since Golbourne left. You'd think Kennedy was Roberto Carlos considering this. Both Flitcroft and Wilson haven't found a replacement, they haven't even brought in competition for him. That's even more startling. And ******* stupid. I suppose there's RNL, and he'd be better than Kennedy. But Danny won't play him there, he sees him as a winger by the looks of it.

Hunt is Wiseman so far as defending goes. McLaughlin is never fit. Both aren't ours anyway.

Paddy and Cywka aren't deemed good enough to start. Mellis is derided now by most of us. Dawson has few fans. Woods has been feeble. Frimpong a disaster. I've only seen about 10 minutes of Lawrence but others who've seen more of him aren't impressed at all. Hassell isn't fit yet. Digby is made of glass (injured again apparently). Etuhu has disappeared. The rest are kids (Abbott, Shillito etc). There's only Jennings and the now injured O'Brien (only now he's not available, mind) who the majority like/appreciate.

And up front it's COG and another loanee in Proschwitz. Our only other option being Rose by the looks of it.

There's little Danny can do but keep on picking the same players. And yes, a few of them are players he's recruited. And whilst it's still only two points, and we've games against Bournemouth, Yeovil and Charlton to come, there's still a chance we could stay up. Which is barmy. Because we deserve relegation thus far.

Apparently the academy LB is better than Kennedy which is not hard to believe.

    I'd start blooding him now.

Smith? Aye, I've liked what I've seen over the last year or so (which is only a handful of games to be fair). But he's never made the bench so can you really see Danny putting him in now? I can't.

in a performing side, o'brien disappears into the shadows. but when we're $hit, he shines. he gives 110%, and that's all the fans want right now. some heart and passion on the pitch. and i also include dawson in that. he may not the best footballer we have, but at least he fcukin cares. mellis, frimpong, mccourt, woods - none of them give a ****

I'd still pick Mellis and McCourt before Dawson.

"He's cost us two goals today but at least he cares.. I dunno how he cares, but he does, because he runs about a lot and wanted to fight with a supporter"

"Mellis cost us a goal today and he doesn't care, he's *****, no heart etc.. because he dunt run around like a madman or try fighting with fans"

He's been in a **** side since he joined us, give or take the odd short spell (under Robins, Keith and Flicker). We're always a lot shitter when he's been injured though (under Robins, Keith and Flicker).

I'm not going to find all the stats to prove it, I'm not that arsed. But I know it's factual. Every time he's been injured, we've played shittier til he returned. It's no doubt coincidental. But look at the good spells under all three managers and you'll see Jim was a regular in those sides.

If he stays around and we're in the third tier, I want him or Hassell as captain.

I'd play better than Kennedy. And Dawson.
