Do you realise that one of the rumoured possible locations of the flat pack plastic ground Manvers actually lies within the boundary of Rotherham and depending on the actual site of the other rumored location near Junction 36 of the M1 could technically be within the boundries of Sheffield why not go the whole way and change the clubs name!!!!! Rotherham Town or Sheffield City ?????? There's not a lot wrong with 0akwell just needs the West Stand renewing its got a lot more good points than bad and moving to a smaller ground would just lock in the small club should just be thankful for what we've got attitude that's got us in the ***** we are in at the moment. Whether it's just a rumour or has some element of truth to it, it is a stupid idea and should be shot down immediately. The club is already losing it's heart and soul and needs to regain its identity and reconnect with its supporters so moving to a soul less flat pack stadium outside the borough could be terminal. Rumour or not STAY AT OAKWELL ITS OUR HOME

not or even fussed about redeveloping the Wesr Stand. It's part of the clubs heritage I would be gutted if we sell up and move to an identikit stadium with no character that would be more likely to get me to throw in the towel than dropping back to the 4th division again I could cope with that but Oakwell is home My Dad has been going there over60 years and I have been going for over 40. Would lose the will if we move

Leaving Oakwell would be the biggest mistake we could ever make.

Even bigger than giving the manager's job to the berk.

I just can't and won't believe that anybody would seriously consider moving us away from Oakwell. I think it would kill us as a community club, what is left of us anyway.

Those who moan about Oakwell would soon look back at Saturdays in Oakwell with fondness if we move. Its nothing to do with progress, there would be no value in moving away from our home to a corporate, flat pack, soulless bowl like the one the Pikeys play at. It would be a grave error of judgement in my opinion.

It's a 100% NO from to me to the idea of leaving Oakwell, to one of the current tubular steel creations no doubt, or anywhere else for that matter.

Oakwell's our home; the West Stand especially has character and I want it left alone. It holds so many memories for me and many others I would think.

J36 isnt a rumour and ever has been, i simply suggested there is some brown field land there that is ripe for development, that has good links to the m1 and a1. The discussion has gone from there.

Of course we're not moving anywhere. Not even BFC with its long tradition of making calamitous decisions would drop a bollock of this proportion.

Oakwell lost its atmosphere when the new stands were built , that is when we should have moved
the days of a packed brewery stand and packed ponty were legendary , great atmosphere , fog , midweek , pies aplenty , ncb donkey jackets mandatory to get in
after that we got a strange three sided non closed in mess that looks a mess , facilities dire , atmosphere to match , bring on the flatpack it should have happened years ago.

Some of us on here are old enough to remember Oakwell before the stands went up, the old Brewery stand and the all standing Ponty end. There were some cracking atmospheres back then but there have been some since seating went in. As we have shown on a few occasions there can be a very vibrant and hostile atmosphere inside the ground if we get something on the pitch. Moving away would not solve the atmosphere problem, Oakwell is our home and that is where we have to sort things out.
