Playing for Preston v Sheff Utd on sky
Wished we had him here with OGrady. Went for money
With regards game it shows what we are up against next year. Better football than we play

I thought that. Preston are playing some decent stuff.

I'd have him here. Was a good player for us. We're not awash with many of those.

Get him signed, we could do with a defender with bags of pace.

Both teams have more pace and pass the ball better than we are capable of. Years of work to do at Barnsley to get anywhere near a side that can compete over a season.

We've been going backwards for years but amazingly we can still avoid the trapdoor this season. League one is not going to be a nice place to be and it's certainly not going to be easy to get out of.

Thought he was pretty awful for us barring the game at Birmingham. Had a first touch to rival Odejayi's it was that bad. If we'd not of sold him we'd of been in league 1 now.

Wasn't breaking any pots whilst he was here. Was only ever any good when he had Vaz te along side him and that midfield including Butts and Drinkwater (Barring the game against Brum where Mellis looked a world beater).

Scored goals for us that nobody in our current squad is capable of.

Yeah, those goals he used to whip into the corner of the net from 20/25 yards fairly commonly showed no skill whatsoever. Goals away at Peterborough, home to Leeds, crucial goals away at Bolton, etc etc - all the goals of a talentless man.

Thank **** for that. I thought I was going barmy, but it turns out it's not just me who rated him.

He had a bit of a purple patch while he was with us but aside from a few games he was average at best and a lot of the time he was poor.

Hate to say it, and mean it in a total-non-provokey-I'm really-Keef's-mum kind of way, but that has to be the best Reds performance that I've witnessed since the 7-0 Hudders at home under Hendrie. Mellis was unbelievably good that day, which makes me only grimace watching him now.

One of the better forwards we've had in the last 10 years. I can only think of Vaz Te, GOG and Boggy as being better than him.

If Davies could control a ball and had the workrate of COG he'd be a great player. As it is I can't really see him making it much further up the Championship than he was with us. He could be good at League One level though, although his attitude before he left us would put me off having him back. Like we'd ever be able to afford him now anyway!
