Probably one of the strangest advice requests ever put on here

Does anybody know where I can buy some elastic cord, thin black stuff, in long lengths?

I need it to make some cardboard face masks for a holiday next week. I'm disguising myself so my wife doesn't see me on Farcebook hanging around in bars.

 

try a sewing/ dress making shop

or why not just buy a few of those celebrity masks , they are in many card shops etc.

I've already got Mr Bean, Freddie Mercury and Robbie Williams masks. I'm making some of my own with blown up pictures of friends on them. I'm really grown up.

Thanks but will probably be too late, setting off on Sunday 2am. Won't have time to mess about with face masks on Saturday night while celebrating our victory.

 

I hope said masks will have large mouth-holes then, otherwise supping ale will be tricky. Unless you are going to use straws, of course. That could get dangerous, knowing you!

I think the inevitable series of "zerbrechlich" posts might also be a giveaway ;-)

 

It's all very well you two having a go at me but I'll be wearing a wig and a cardboard mask in all the photos so there's no chance of being recognised. I will however be quite zerbrechlich on most mornings.

Anyway I thought under the new rules we had to write in English only? Am I going to get banned?

That's a tricky challenge. There's always the risk of being snapped and exposed while lifting one's mask for a crafty slurp

Don't worry it never works and I get fobbed off after less than a minute. Unless they want a drink, in which case it's about 3 minutes.

So far my skiing equipment consists of 8 cardboard face masks, a wig and some light up ice cubes to drop in people's drinks when they're not looking. As I said earlier, I'm really grown up I am! I'll send you some photos.

 

Good point. Actually it was me who wrote it, so it is me who should be banned.
