Complete disaster to date for me, the signings are awful Woods, Lawrence, Fringpong Hunt and Shea. Danny has failed to motivate the team or lift the supporters. it's just not working at all. I fear it's a downwards spiral that Danny cannot reverse. I think we should thank him and look for change this summer.
Given the right backing he remains the right man to rebuild. Sadly, we will be having the cheap option (Micky). What we really need is for Patrick to sell on, because we are going nowhere with his mindset.
The downward spiral is not Danny's fault and he isn't a miracle worker. He is going to need a couple of years to sort out the mess that Hill and Flitcroft have left. Some of his signings haven't worked out (Frimpon and Shea) but he is trying to work with a squad of idle tossers who couldn't care less what league we are in next season.
look we get it , you didn't want him, you don't like him and given that we aren't racing up the league you were hardly likely to have changed, our your mind so there's really no need to regurgitate the same post in different forms n an Hemsworthesque way
Sorry if it has come across like that, I wanted nothing more than to see Danny make a success of it, I take no delight in seeing the current plight, just find it rather depressing. I will refrain from mentioning the topic again.
You have the right to express your opinions. There will be some who think you are right. Never let opposition to your true thoughts stop you speaking what you think. I actually agree with the signings part, they are worse than what Hillcroft brought in. I also think that Wilson and the players do not seem to be agreeing on formations being played. I think Wilson has to be given extra time to pick his own back room team and new squad with young uns coming in
I dont care if they arn't good enough but danny should at least have them pressing allover the pitch. Currently we surrender into our own half and let them walk the ball out of their own half allowing defenders and midfielders all the time in the world to pick passes out. An idiot knows we wont stay up playing like that, im sure yeovil wont have given Wigan an inch last night
Get Winstanley and Shirtliff back to assist Danny. Mick Tarmey as physio and get rid of the entire squad barring Steele, Cranie, JOB, Jennings, COG and Ramage (if we can keep him) plus 'the kids'. Bring some home grown lads to the core of the team, a quick centre forward (hudds have just bombed Patterson out to Bristol City) and an experienced centre mid who can keep the ball under pressure and we'll be fine.
How much backing would do we think PC would give Danny in div1 . People bang on about clearing out and rebuilding. Hill given money, Flicker given money and Danny given money. As the provider of the money and the fact relegation is going to cost a lot of money If I was PC I would have to say that the money input is showing no improvement and I wouldn't throw good money after bad. Danny's remit will have been to keep the championship status and prevent the club losing money by preventing relegation. The simlple answer will be success or fail. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
If we are judging managers tenures as successful or failure after 3 months from taking over a side that was already bottom of the league then I think I've just about had it with this football lark, its bloody ridiculous. Danny Wilson has to be given free reign to rebuild the squad and the clubs fortunes and told that he has an absolute MINIMUM of 2 years in the job.
The signings have been disappointing but I don't think you can blame Danny for that. Lawrence is obviously well past his best, maybe not a surprise that Woods is sh*t, but the others were all highly rated they just haven't delivered.
You've a right to express your opinion as many times as you like. Don't let yourself be bullied by some on here into not giving your viewpoint.
The signings we made in January cost a grand total of nothing. So it's a bit weird to say that thus far Danny has been financially backed. He cleared out some players to largely fund our semi permanent signings Frimpong, Lawrence and Woods and got in a couple of loans. Hardly breaking the bank. And I fully expect us to take a similar approach next season. In this league 80 percent of teams have an individual player who cost more than our entire squad. That won't be the case if we go down.
People seem to be throwing the 'bullying' tag around a bit willy nilly on here these days. All I see here is people giving their opinion about the OP's opinion. Maybe you are trying to bully those people into not having their say?
not really the following post isn't an opinion on the op's opinion, its an opinion on the op hmself, and to be compared with hemsworth isn't very nice
Seems a reasonable post to me, no profanity or name calling, just giving an opinion. Agree about the comparison with HT like, no need to bring HT into this, but still not bullying of the OP.
