....is as some of you alluded to, a divide between the players I.e half are with Wilson and back him while other half were loyal to Mellon and last seasons management team.

I suspect recent abject performances have aired a few home truths.

Would certainly explain some of the recent disgraceful performances

Well if that's true - the ones loyal to Mellon etc need dropping and we may as well play Academy lads, because there's some non-triers amongst that lot.

 

I wouldn't pay to much credence to that. They all know how football works and really most of them should be more concerned where their next contract is coming from

 

Got to agree and I think we could all name those who have been guilty of this and who have let us down the most.

 

Yep, a few laikers who I've backed as well - but if they feel loyal to a person rather than the Club that pays their wages then get shut.

 

So why have they been getting picked? Mellis for one who else do you think this refers to?

 

I also think it has been done with next season in mind and would seem to prove once and for all that Danny will be manager next season come what may.
I reckon he wants to bring in an assistant of his choice in whom he has complete trust, one that will help him assess the squad in the final 10 games or so to determine what we need over the summer.
Reckon it will probably be Frank Barlow who's been close to him throughout his managerial career. Personally I hope it's someone whose heart is firmly in the club, like Nicky Eaden.

But he's not doing himself or the players any favours. Dawson got a lot of stick from the 364? away section on saturday because of the manager. The fans couldn't believe Frimpong got took off on Saturday because 1 he wasn't playing too badly and secondly Dawson should have been took off.

Then he killed any momentum Barnsley got after half time by going to play a 352. What was COG doing not playing.
