I didn't know but now I think he should have signed some players Sheffield have.

Played a Mark Robins 3/4 month and the fans put up with it.

I don't know which players were available RedStar but with Ben Mansford and Maurice Watkins I feel we'd have done well if thats what the manager was after.

We didn't play that way under Robins but it's far more effective than playing six yard square balls along the back four.

We got the best we could for our position and budget.

Certain ones need to show more. But the nature of our position means we can only get players who aren't fit. Like Frimpong. Like Lawrence.

Frimpong's last two starts - two defeats, eight conceded, none scored.

Hemsworth calls Wilson a disaster. I'd say the same about Dench Kid.

Looks like a lad plucked out of Aldershot's youth team, not Arsenal's.

I preferred Etuhu. Which speaks proper volumes.

Danny's panic signings have not worked out that's for sure, apart from Proshiwitz I'm not sure any of them were match fit let alone kicked a ball in anger.

There were several better candidates for starts that had a full pre season under their belts and should have been fit and raring to go I.e RNL, Cywka and Ethuhooo. We seriously couldn't have done worse with those guys in.

Soho letting JASON go was huge mistake, left us hopelessly short of options and lost a proven striker and influence in dressing room

We've really missed a MARLON leader this year. Doubt Crainie will stay but we defo need a vocal leader as captain

    Where to start...

Cranie is not a vocal captain

Ethuhu is abart as fit and raring to go as Gazza

    RNL injured

    Cywka as soft as Ethuhu

    Scotland was past it

They weren't panic signings he had to freshen up and got as good as he could

If the money hadn't been *****ed on gyms and photos he might have been able to get better ones.

You makes me good points but It's Frimpong who needs to adjust and adjust quickly not the other way round. Dawson isn't suddenly gonna become Arteta is he? As for M'Voto terrible player I agree but is Metersecker any better at laying out from the back.

Whatever the reason Frimpong has been terrible in about 75% of the games he's played in. You can blame other players or systems but a good player adjusts and adapts. He has so far failed to do so.

    He's talented for sure.

He might have to change but it'll be hard for him because he's likely been playing in a certain style for 10 years through the different levels at Arsenal.

Wilson could help him though and play players that can play a similar style but he's going to have to wake Mellis up. by this I mean Digbys RNL Jennings Mellis. I understand Digby's not fit and RNL got a knee injury on Tuesday but it didn't look much tbh.

It's going to be hard for him and it'll be a culture shock for him on and off the field at Barnsley.

Your defence of him is admirable, Phil.

But I expected some top quality young Premier League laiker, an international who had played alongside some amazing players at Arsenal and for Ghana. But it turns out he's bang average, and unless we stay up (and even then it's questionable) he'll be released in the Summer.

He'll probably get picked up by a London club in the third tier, if he can be arsed to continue. He's already rich beyond his wildest dreams without actually achieving owt in the game at 22 years old. Sad indictment of modern football. Even Reuben's played more football than him, and he's younger.

Frimpong has been incredibly poor. His background counts for nothing. If anything, that makes his performances even worse. He'll be playing for Ebbsfleet in no time.

He needs to forget how Arsenal taught him quick sharp cos he's never getting back there.

What he needs to do is realise this is his last chance to play at a good level.

Oh and he played with Digby at Donny. He only looked owt like when Digby went off.

And oh again, Digby and RNL injured? Shocked.

I think theres more to how hes playing than him been a bad player.
Just watching him on Saturday before the game, He can pass the ball and receive it. I thought he was at Charlton in league one but according to Wikipedia he was with them in the Championship and then soon was moved to Premier league Fulham a few years ago. Mick McCarthy also had good words to say how him.

If we go down I don't think Barnsley would be able to afford him. I think he'd get another championship club and it could be someone like Wolves who will come up and could do the double bounce like Southampton for example.

If we stay up the club NEED to keep hold of him. Getting him confident would be good, but he needs to get Match fit. We'd see a different player. Jennings him RNL and another couple in midfield then we'd play a lot better.

Still in your best XI since promotion?

Oh well, mate. You have huge faith in him. I wish I did. I only have hope that he'll come good.

I'd love to know what you're basing your faith on though. Because he was poor at Charlton, did nowt at Arsenal or Wolves, and has had one good game in eight for us. Hence me not having faith in him turning into the star we all expected.
