I think people are a little harsh on Proschwitz to be fair, 3 goals is more than most of our strikers get.

I dunno about loads, he's brought in 4 on loan:

Hunt - came with a great reputation but hasn't lived up to it.
McLaughlin - Brilliant debut, but got injured. Played away at Wigan when unfit.
    Shea - bombed.
Proschwich - Not a complete failure, scored 3 goals so far and despite getting munk on when he was subbed in one game at least he looks like he's trying. Does to me anyway.

He's not on loan. We signed him permanently. Same with Woods.

Ha ha! "Permanent" in football is just varying degrees of transience.

Sorry to disappoint you Nudge but Frimpong is a permanent Barnsley player.

Danny's signings have been *****. I love him, but you can't defend it. Proschwitz looked good initially, and Hunt, Frimpong and McLaughlin showed 'signs' at one point of being half decent. But yes, his recruits have been a big fat let down.

There's lots that he's done since returning that I've found bizarre, questionable etc.

He's still done better than Flitcroft though. And this isn't the squad that Danny would recruit if he had a full pre season and the chance to rebuild. I'm sure of that. He's working with what he's been given. He's not done well with it thus far, but after the Mellon sacking I'm feeling more optimistic all of a sudden that Danny will still be manager next season. He'll be in charge of the rebuild. No matter the division, a rebuild is coming, and needed. I'm looking forward to it.

I hope we're a second tier club when it happens, of course. But if not, it matters not. To me.

    Tarn til I'm pushing daisies.

    You Reds.

I like Hunt, I can see I'm in a very definite minority, but there we are. Proschwitz has been alright, not amazing, but then he can only work with the service he is getting. McLaughlin seems good if he can come back from injury playing as well as he did before it. I liked Shea initally, but that turned into a disaster.

I have to say I rate Hunt very highly but he is clearly rusty coming back from injury and more suited to playing in a wing back role in a back 5 rather than in a flat back 4.

McLaughlin very unfair to judge when fully fit against Blackpool he looked great.

Shea. You can't legislate for a lack of character. Still we bombed him out ASAP

Proschwitz a decent finisher I would rather have Danny Rose playing though.

I'm sick of loan players in general. Too much short term thinking. Next year I hope we only have 1 or 2 not half a team full.

Danny had to role the dice, if he'd brought no loans in people would moan, he had very little time and we have needs in so many positions, for every striker we need we also need a left back, a decent holding midfielder, a centre half.........a goalkeeper (ducks). Only Brek has been a disaster, the others have all show something.
