But what did you expect ? Divided and unbalanced squad, no brass and terrible form . The best we can hope for is a miracle this season or to trust DW to bring us back or at least challenge.
3 from the team today and one McLaughlin was quality, woods poor and hunt average Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
I expected motivation and a team fighting for survival. Can understand we would never have top-class players that would play teams off the park, but i do expect, in fact demand, effort and heart.
Last season again. The same players and manager got us in the mess this season but it's okay because they kept us up last season Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Wilson wasn't my first choice, but he's not to blame for this joke of a season. Keith Hill's reign was a complete disaster, and the players he brought in were laughable. David Flitcroft performed miracles in keeping us up last season, but was totally out of his depth. Half of the players brought in at that time are still here when they really shouldn't be - can't fault Wilson's efforts in trying to make changes with the amount of players he released in January, but the signings he's made have been really poor. Brek Shea was the worst player I have ever seen in a Barnsley shirt (and that takes a lot of effort!), Frimpong is not interested, and Lawrence is way past it and unfit. Going down or not, next season we need to get rid of the deadwood and make a fresh start. I can't do with relegation battles season after season!
Try digging out a previous post of yours - any time from January to August will do - that might suggest that Flitcroft did not know what he was doing. You have 16,006 posts to go through i know, but surely there'll be one.
You do realise it was Flitcroft who signed Pedersen and played him in every game he was fit, right? You do also realise that Flitcroft didn't play Rose this season either? Maybe, when two different managers don't select a player, it's because he's not good enough. Or not ready. Not every young player who shows potential in junior and reserve football turns out to be equipped for the professional game. As it happens, the majority aren't. That doesn't mean Rose isn't, and I hope he is, but it doesn't mean he definitely is either. Not that I'm particularly defending Pedersen, he should have scored, or at the very least hit the target, but you're attacking a manager for selecting a player who he didn't even sign in only his second appearance under that manager, which is at best odd and at worst, well, I dunno what.
Flitcroft did bring him on though. One of the the top of my head, Leicester away. He said they weren't good enough and HE WAS WRONG. Rose or Pedersen Lawrence or RNL, last week Crazy
That's Rose's only appearance this season. One. For 10 minutes. That's hardly a ringing endorsement of a player from our last manager. You've lost me.
Yes indeed, let's judge him when he's had bugger all money to sign his own players and had to make do with what little he could find in loans and players other clubs wouldn't touch. Has it crossed your mind that this mess has more to do with Flitcroft wasting a large budget, by our standards, on league one and two quality players? Fact is, he's on "the list". You've not had a good word to say about him even before he took charge in a game. He's before your time and that makes him **** and he takes his place in that special place in your brain next to Bobby Hassell and Luke Steele.
