This "not enough quality" argument........

    Barnsley have never got anywhere by "quality"

    Did we get promoted to the Premier League by virtue of our "quality" players?

    I think not.

    We got to be, and largely stay, where we are by virtue of hard work, organisation, confidence, pride and a belief that we deserve to be there.

    Nobody said there was not enough "quality" at the start of the season. Indeed quite the opposite. So to bring that out now is at best being wise after the event.

    No. Summat else has gone wrong.

    Maybe nobody is to blame. The way football works these days means that we've been shoved down the ladder.

    Hanging around the bottom of a league year after year does nothing for attendances either.

    We can all see that something that is usually there is missing.

    i agree with op it's not all about quality

    the way to be successful in this division is to play a high tempo pressing game.

    a bit of quality helps but I think the style of play is more important. This same shower of ***** did ok last season and would be easily safe with the same points this

    we have had enough quality to stay up even with Dawson and Perkins your favourite players. Wilson's had he chance to keep us up but continued to play the same way flicker did. Mean while Wednesday have changed their style of play to grafting and gone clear

    One of his points was that we had no quality in the promotion side. That point itself was so wide of the mark the rest of his post was beyond help.

    I did not say we had no quality.

    It was not quality that got us up alone. It was a formula that can't be bottled or seemingly rediscovered.

    Why did Wilson change the team so much when promoted, if we had the quality?

    And why were we relegated?

    Because we did not have enogh quality?
