...just about ruined all the good memories. Not bringing McCourt on instead of Mellis was utterly perverse. And if he thinks that central midfield pairing is good enough at this level....

There are a few on this BBS that would shoot you for suggesting DW is at (partial) fault for the mess we are in.

    Its woeful isn't it?

How he thinks Woods is worth a place in the team is beyond me.

Certainly not denying that he has to take some of the blame and I'm sure he will accept that but the way people talk on here it's like we were never in trouble before he took over. Did people really think that any manager would have come in and turned this truly awful squad around? Very naive if they do

I seem to recall you said " a large % of the blame"

I'd say a small %. He's made mistakes but he can only piss with the **** he's got and it's about as useful as John Wayne Bobbitts after their lass had finished with him.

Maybe so but I think it's clutching at straws that he'd have saved us. I'm probably wrong

We are desperate for creativity in midfield.
McCourt even with his weaknesses has more than Woods n Dawson put together.

I said the same when people on here were clamouring for Wilson acouple of years ago. Should never go back and as i said theh, he's never achieved anything anywhere else. Enough said.

When have you ever seen McCourt make a challenge? He is NOT what we needed, and never was. End of.

McCourt's not a central midfielder though. Certainly not in a 2 anyway.

Not sure why you'd compare him to Dawson & Woods

Have you ever seen Woods make a challenge? Or Dawson create anything? I'm going to stop banging on about McCourt - clearly people like you must be right. As evidenced by our league position and terrific scoring record.

We're arguing over nothing though. Jennings & Hassell aside we've not got a decent midfielder. Whoever he plays is gonna be pretty poor

Playing without fear would have left us just below mid table this season.

Play the right team, play without fear and Wednesday, Burnley and Derby have shown what is possible.

Flicker early on have too much respect to teams, now Wilson is so scared of losing we are way too cautious and afraid to attack.

It might well have done but it conveniently forgets that the players who allowed us to attack last season with PACE, have both gone. Our side is devoid of any real pace hence DW being desperate to bring some in i.e. McCloughlin and Shea

I did think that Paddy might have been a better option than Mellis but I can understand why Danny didn't bring him on.

So can I. You just can't trust that he will do anything positive and you can guarantee that he won't put owt in. Much the same as Mellis.

My question is why put Cywka on. Personification of gutless.
