Much as I like Luke and I think he's an excellent keeper I can't quite put him in the top rank of players we've had. He's a great professional lots of ability and definitely the nearest we've had to that sort of player since Howard left but he just pulls up short in my opinion. Now if Heinz Muller had stopped then maybe he could have been that type of player has he was different class.

It's no slight on Luke there's probably only about 10 of those players in my err 30 odd years of supporting Barnsley.

We have a player opposition players are scared of, but he's sat on the bench all the time....

To be fair Clive Baker had sone truly terrible defenders in front of him at times but performed more consistently. Simon Jeffels, Gary Coatsworth, Paul MCGugan, Mick Clarke, Julian Broddle but performed more consistently. The opposition fans always mentioned Baker as being that brilliant little keeper.

Like I say no disrespect to Luke but there is a big difference between being a good player and that transition into being a legendary one.

Thinking of players in that second category you would look to Bullock, Matty Appleby, Joe Joyce,, Sir Bobby etc.
