    77 days to go.

Be an achievement getting out of the group itself.

We do have one or two players hitting form but defensively look vulnerable.

I am always happy if we get out of the group, I think we will again. It is a tough group on paper though so provided we play well I won't be too upset if we don't. Quarters at best though. I think we might have the players to do better but don't think Roy will play them unfortunately.

Used to look forward to world cup trying to take in as many televised matches as possible ,even the years England didn't qualify i still looked forward to the tournament to watch all the great players of the world.
This year couldn't give a chuff if I watch or not tbh.

Well I'm looking forrad to it! Booked 1.5 weeks off work so can chill out ad watch most of the games.

    Hope Hodgson goes 4-2-3-1.

    Hart

    Johnson
    Jagielka
    Cahill
    Baines

    Gerrard
    Wilshere

    Lallana
    Rooney
    Sterling

    Sturridge.

Happy with most of that team, CB is going to be our weakest department by far.

I was just thinking about this the other day. I used to really get caught up in the excitement of the world cup, I would try to watch as many games as I could physically manage even if it meant staying up all night or videoing a game and watching it in the morning. I think I watched about five full games during the last world cup.

I think we have some exciting young talent in the England squad.

I just hope Roy is bold enough to give them a go.

Quarter finals and possible semis with a reasonable draw.

If I was to pick a squad of 23 based on who is fit and also in form right now I would go with-

    Goalkeepers

    Hart
    Forster
    Foster

    Defenders

    Johnson
    Cahill
    Jagielka
    Baines
    Jones
    Davies
    Shaw

    Midfielders

    Gerrard
    Henderson
    Sterling
    Lallana
    Barkley
    Milner
    Oxlade-Chamberlain
    Carrick

    Strikers

    Sturridge
    Rooney
    Rodriguez
    Lambert
    Crouch

    Standby players

    Ruddy
    Cole
    Walker
    Caulker
    Huddlestone
    Barry
    Townsend
    Defoe

If we come up against any of Brazil, Spain, Argentina or Germany we'll be out.

We're in the second batch of teams with Italy, France, Portugal, Chile, Uruguay & a couple others. The problem is we've got 2 of them in our group.

I think quarters at a push & maybe semi's if we really ride our luck.

I'd be shocked if we topped our group.

The defence simply isn't good enough to carry us all the way

    May sneak through group stage?

Ive lost interest and I firmly believe it is linked to the debacle at the last World Cup, where the players and management were an embarrassment.

I, too, think England will have done well and had a good World Cup if we progress beyond the group stage.

I am not convinced we will get out of the group to be honest. Would be more than happy if we did, but not expecting too much.

Manaus (Ma anus must be a reight shitoil) in the north when we play Italy or Sao Paulo in the south when we play Uruguay. We could also return to Sao Paulo in the semi finals.
