    Or KP.

WTF's going off at the ECB.

If you can get GK England cricket jump through burning hoops to get him.

KP should be Captain at ALL levels (Test, One days, T/20's)

GK DOC with all the different formats.

Beefy's odds to be next coach have been slashed today from 30s to 10s. What would you say to that appointment hems?

Don't think he'd get it to be honest. Doesn't know about the modern day game I feel.

Saying that he'd want KP in the team. Bothams good friends with KP.

As you have brought KP into i can only assume that you havent watched any of the tournament and therefore probably shouldn't comment.
Other than today england have batted pretty well in this comp, 170+ against NZ, chased down 190 to beat Sl and almost chased down 196 against SA.
England being out of the competition has nothing to do with pietersen not being there and everything to do with inept fielding displays gifting the opposition 20 to 30 runs more than they should have got.

170 isn't a par score though is it.
KP also as a lot of knowledge about T/20 matches especially in tha part of the world.

Problem is, Hemsy, none of the other players/management like him and wouldn't play for him. Great played; but flawed individual.

    I don't think thats true.

A lot of the current team do like him apparently.
Even Broad got well with him at the end.

Theres a few who don't like him, Prior been one but that wouldn't be a problem.

But it obviously was and is a problem, that's why the ECB got shut of him. You're in denial over it mate.

Pietersen as captain across the board!!!!

You really are clueless. You need somebody who will get respect and a person who the players will give everything for. He was unpopular and upsetting the dressing room so we got rid and rightly so nobody is bigger than the team......move on.

Aye 170+ in 20 overs is w@nk. Its called scoreboard pressure.
Watch the game thats currently on, NZ are making a pigs ear of chasing down 129 which if im not mistaken is nowhere near a par score.

England have gone from the World's best, to the World's worst in less than a year. Splendid.

KP is history. Get over it. Move on.

Westlife have split up; JLS have split up, David Beckham has left Man Utd, etc. People move on. It's about time you did.

IMHO they should keep Ashley Giles well away and then get another captain who when things are not going right doesn't look as though he is in a permanent sulk and looking to pass the buck onto anybody else but himself

why should people get over it???

He's still very much one of the best players in the world. He's still contracted to the ECB I think.

How is he History? I just don't get it. He's only just turned 34. He's in great shape and just been made Captain of Delhi Daredevils.

He's not part of the ECB plan. You can argue about it all you like - it won't get him back in the team.

By the way, most of the cricket fans on here have shrugged it off without a moment's hesitation. Doesn't that tell you something? Maybe that everyone else thinks it's no great loss. I've not seen anyone else on here continually whining about it.

It's no great loss, you think that.

''World's top coach Gary Kirsten rejected England because he wasn't allowed to pick Kevin Pietersen''
From the Mirror yesterday or the day before.
The best cricket coach in the world believes he's an unbelievably good cricketer.

You or even anyone on here or Willis off sky sports news or Boycott don't understand cricket and know as much about players as Gary Kirsten the best coach in the world. sachin tendulkar worked with many coaches over 25ish years in cricket and he says Kirsten was the best. Smith's said same about him.

He's managed at international level twice, and got to world number one twice in test cricket. Didn't he win the World cup (50 overs) with India and I think the other world cup (T/20).

So doesn't that tell you something that he wants him in his team and instructed DD to get him apparently at any cost to the IPL team. Also he's made him Captain so doesn't that tell you what the worlds best cricket coach knows about him and is character off and on the field.
