As I understand it, being caught trying to take one into a football match would lead to a conviction and automatic banning order (minimum 3 year)

How do you actually smuggle a live chicken into a match?

Internal orifice concealment could be uncomfortable......especially for the chicken ;)

Charlton burnley, Wigan, Leicester Millwall, Leeds don't seem to be getting charged so yes it seems so.

Of course not .they wait for a club such as ours then make an example of them. If they catch some I hope they name and shame them as well as the bans and fines.

I wondered what had happened to Chris. He & his partner used to live just down the street from us. Always came across as a decent, friendly bloke.

I suppose we can't complain, it's probably the fifth or sixth game our fans have used them. But the likes of Everton, Leicester, Man Utd, Newcastle and Liverpool set them off literally every week. Perhaps they also get investigated, who knows? Bit disconcerting seeing so many teams at Oakwell setting them off with no resulting steward intervention though.

I often bemoan the lack of younger lads watching Barnsley, especially away. Such a shame that the idiocy of some indivduals will lead to banning orders being implemented, probably resulting in groups of associated mates also not going. The thing is, most of the lads setting them off aren't hooligans or lads looking for trouble, most simply seem to be trying to enhance the atmosphere by totally the wrong means. Probably seen too many YouTube videos of European (or Celtic!) crowds. I can only imagine those responsible have little idea how serious the consequences are nowadays. Banning order, criminal record, likely knock on effects regarding jobs etc. All for a twenty second puff of smoke. Crazy.

I couldnt care less if other clubs have got away with it; our fans have been warned about the potential consequence to the club and yet some have continued to ignore that warning, the ******* set of bellends. Whether or not these other clubs get fined doesnt make a blind bit of difference to me.

Yes these young lads are breaking the law and risking a 3 year banning order but some of your thoughts on this subject is way over the top....I'm pleased half you lot aren't judges....you'd fetch hanging back for people farting in the street!

The Leicester City fans let a smoke canister off when they scored their first goal at Oakwell a few weeks back. Was anything done about this???

The Searching wasnt that thorough I had my arms and legs patted down presumably searching for concealed weapons smoke cannisters but they didnt check my pockets or even pat down my coat - had I been trying to smuggle something in it would have worked

But thats not really the point its only because morons think its fun to throw dangerous objects around that we have to be searched in the first place - I hope that whoever is responsible is found and they have to pay the fine - why should Barnsley football club be fined just because some idiots attach themselves to it

especially as it wasnt even at our ground so not something they have any control over
