Picked the wrong team to start, Mellis and Woods are awful, Mellis not interested at all. Waited until 30 mins left to change it, but the tactic of lump it to an isolated O'Grady carried on. A game we could easily have got something from, they were nothing special at all, but no quality and no ideas from us. That's it, we're down, and deserve to be.

 

Who were the different options?

Could have played 2 up front. Burnley were there for the taking and we should be going for all 3 points at home (especially when we are where we are)

 

Hassell, Frimpong, McCourt is better, IMO, than Dawson, Woods & Mellis.

 

Pre match confidence after saturday was ruined as soon as I saw Mellis was starting. Then we had our top scorer out of position on the wing and played hoof ball for 90 minutes.

 

McCourt, Frimpong, RNL for starters.
Would they have done any better? Who Knows.
What I witnessed is a 1st Half Devoid of any attacking prowess.
I expected a change to try and rectify this at the break but no lets just puddle on as we were and we might just get lucky.

The combination he picked tonight hasn't worked before, so yes Wilson has to take the blame im afraid.

 

I thought Danny had learned his lesson, I thought we'd seen the last of Jacob effing Mellis but no and not only do we get Mellis we get the rank bad Woods again too. It seems that only Danny Wilson thinks these two are anything other than bloody awful.

I like Danny and I want him to be given time but ffs what the hell is he trying to do.

Mellis.....does not give a single toss about BFC. Watch their right midfielder stroll past him for their goal, cuts inside and passes it across field. Mellis just strolling back and no effort to get a tackle in. I sincerely hope i never see him jn a BFC shirt again. You can have as much talent as you like, but if your attitude stinks, you'll not succeed.

Woods.....plain and simple awful. Cant tackle, slows down our attacks by passing sideways at best, backwards if we are lucky, but more often than not he loses it. I really cannot see what DW sees in this guy to sign him and then watch him fail miserbaly when he plays. Absolute dog sh!te.

Danny Wilson.....tonight, your team selection and tactics was an embarrasment. I cannot remember one attempt on target. We never looked like scoring. Burnley were there for the taking and looked pretty average to me. At a time when we need to be looking at 3 points, you set a team up, that most fans pre-match, were thinking "what the **** is this team". The performance proved it. Before tonight we had a slim chance of survival on the back of 3 good performances. Yes, we were unlucky with Etuhu suspension and then Lawrence injury, but your decisions tonight were rank bad......will result in relegation.

you would have thought the mangement and players would play with confidence after our last 3 games , but danny set a team out to contain and counter attack , and the players didnt play with the same desire as last 3 games .
